joint account query

    Myself and my wife have a joint current account so anything we "do" must have the consent of both of us. 
    Could you please tell me what to do so that only one of us can for example close the account. 

    Hope this makes sense

    Hi Stef22, 

    Thanks for your query. Your question absolutely does make sense :).To make this change both you and your wife will need to go in to  any Bank of Ireland branch with some photo I.D. and the account can then be changed so that any one person on the account can sign off for any action.
