    Hi
I bought a "unblocked" Huawei Lte cpe b593 router on ebay.
looks like its working fine..I put in a pay as you go three mobile sim card
But I cant get it to connect..
When I connected the device to Pc via Lan (using admin/admin log in) I was able to bring up admin control panel.
Initially status said sim disabled, so I put in 0000 password and device said
    sim verified..but still no action.
There doesn't seem to be any drop down menus anywhere showing country or network providers list.
So I looked at Changing LAN settings to 3ireland.ie but I'm a bit out of my depth and don't really know what I,m doing
would this need a specific sim! or maybe a firmwear issue if I can get it

Any ideas on how to get this router working!

You need to enter the 3 APN so the router "knows" how to request a connection from the network.

    http://devicehelp.optus.com.au/optus/b593-v2-4g-router-mavericks/connection/setting-up-my-router-for-internet-manually/

Follow the steps (use whatever browser ya want).

    Thanks for that
That's what I thought the APN needs configuring!

However the settings you sent me link to are "opus"
So what do I put in thefields for Three A.P.N

In my control panel I have
    "dialled number"
    "APN"
    "username"
    "password" and
    "authentication"

any idea what I should put in them!

Sorry, that link was just meant for how to do it, not what credentials.

    Name: 3
    APN: 3ireland.ie
    Username: None
    Password: None
    MMSC: http://mms.um.3ireland.ie:10021/mmsc
    MMS proxy: mms.3ireland.ie
    APN type: default,mms,supl

    thanks EDE
I tried this apn with no success!
Ive attached a screenshot of my router
There is a field for Dialled number so I tried*99# as recommended by someone. But still not connecting..
The username and password I have left blank..
and another confusing thing when I try to edit the password field after creating the 3ireland profile it is showing a password ********** like this
even though I have left this field blank
When unit is on I keep getting an orange light on the huawei control panel. Any idea what this means!

Your unit is not linked to the network, APN wont work without a signal.

Which sub version of the B593 have you got ? (B593-XXX)

    Thanks
I think it might be an older version.
    Its B593s-42

Oh oh. You bought an Asian model thats also end of life.

"TDD LTE 3500 MHz band 42" It might end up being compatible with Imagines FibreConnect service, but they wont let foreign devices into their network anyways. Cant see any Irish mobile networks.
