Existing Planning too small

Have existing planning for a house but it's smaller than we want, is there any way around this without applying for new planning again. Would the engineer sign off if it was a few as in 3 or 4 feet more than the original planning? TIA

Up to them, but they shouldn't!

3 or 4 feet is not 'minor'. A new, amendment, planning application would be required.

    New planning required.

Yep new planning required but at it is in effect a minor alteration to the existing permission, shouldn't be a big problem.
