No was supposed to there yesterday, manager told me it had been cancelled.

Got my text from Dun Laoghaire and picked it up 30 minutes ago Now to play around with it and decide if I want to keep it or not - I'm a sucker for a bargain and picked up one of the Asus Zenbooks that PC World were flogging this time last year (big thread on that bargain at the time), been very happy with it. But you gotta love new gadgets; hopefully I'll keep my preferred one and the wife will take the other!

The link in the op want working yesterday. Tried it there, it lets me register my phone number for click and collect for stock coming in on Friday, but no reservation number...

So they wait till stock is in before sending out the reservation numbers?

wouldnt be very impressed with the first one. it doesnt even include a keyboard.

the second one looks better but having the wrong keyboard layout would annoy me. the prices dont include any possible vat or duty you might have to pay as well.

No, obviously you're running the risk when it comes to VAT and import duty. From what Ive read most of them sneak through.

I ordered one for the Ilac, initial email said be ready for collection from yesterday- Wednesday, went into the store and spoke with the manager. Their next delivery was not until Wednesday morning he said so should get a text Wednesday afternoon to pick it up. He also confirmed I would pay the €299

Went into Stephens green tonight to pick one up but it wasnt there. They told me it wouldnt be in until the morning. Unfortunately i cant go back until thursday but they assured me it would be there

Mine has just been dispatched from argos ebay store :rolleyes: hope I get the proper model now ...plus it's been delivered by fastway who are by far the worst couriers in my area ...the local delivery driver is about 70 and could leave parcel just about anywhere and I never receive a delivery date or time from them.

Played around with it a bit last night, not sure of what the active pen brings to the device (it has two buttons but they didn't seem to do much, even with the battery inserted?) but really impressed with how the keyboard attaches to the tablet. I've only had Android tablets so it is strange to use Windows 10 on one, will take a lot of getting used to it I think.

I got my text this morning to say its ready for collection now �� you would have to wonder why Argos were selling these so cheap, fair play to op, I've been wanting to buy a windows 2-1 for a long time but couldn't justify the cost of the surface, and that was without the keyboard

I think you need an application such as Photoshop or Gimp to use the pen - it's a drawing device, not pointing one.

If you get a blank email then it wasn't reserved.

Blank email is nothing. Can't get it with one.

There's no codes going at the moment, if someone has one I'm sure they'll post up about it. The requested really are a thread killer.

A lot better than those of us that got the blank email. Argos are generally great with this kind of stuff so if I had received a code, I'd be pretty confident.

picked mine up from stephens green today, scanned at the self serve machine at 729 so had to goto a teller to get the 299 price but there was no issue and came with a 10 euro voucher also
