Was messing around the statistics section this morning. Some interesting/weird ones....

Goals scored in a Game by Kane:
0 - 12 times
1 - 2 times
2 - 6 times
3 - 2 times
He really is a haul or nothing. Not many 8-pointers

Ordered by value (season), the 7 most valuable players are goalkeepers.

Darren Fletcher has conceded 4 more goals than anyone else this season.

10 different keepers have saved penalties this season - all one each

That Fletcher one is probably the most surprising! Shows how much rotation has gone on around him!

Yeah because a player should be judged on his number of blanks as opposed to total points scored..

Just by way of a reasonably fair comparison, I looked at Lukakus stats.

Lukaku is as nailed on as Kane, playing for a top 4 team and would be highly regarded by FF players, hence why I’m using him.

In 21 starts Lukaku has 11 blanks BUT has only scored more than 1 goal on a single occasion in the other 10 games.

Essentially the same number of blanks, but Kane has 9 more goals.

Aguero is probably THE top striker, but there is too much doubt over his game time, so I’m at a loss to figure who is a better FF striker than Kane.

Kane is a top striker, however and maybe this was Chesty's point, most of his goals come when games are won, if he was a scoring the same amount of goals but in more games, Spurs wouldn't have drawn 5 and lost 5 games.
Poch would probably prefer Kane to have less goals but score more regularly.

Poch almost certainly would, no argument there. However from a FF standpoint (and this is the FF forum), we want goals no matter when they are scored!

Llorente for sure. Hasn't had a single match this season where he has played 90 minutes and blanked. Same goes for Batshuayi.

That's not entirely true, you want him to score goals when you have him as captain, spurs v city - you may not captain him, so if he score 3 goals your happy but not ecstatic. Where as if they are playing stoke and he blanks or like the DGW he blanks - your pi$$ed off - whereas if he score a goal in each of the 3 games - you would be happier.

I suppose so, but who else would you trust (bar Salah) if you had to stick the captaincy on someone for the rest of the season?

Lukaku, Firmino and Aguero (by not starting) are even more likely to leave you down in a DGW

Sterling - better PPG, equal points, in a team always scoring goals even when they lose.

One thing the above stat didn't show - was that If Kane doesn't score - he doesn't do anything else - 20 goals and only 1 assist this season for instance.
