    Francis Cook Ake Daniels

He played in midfield for most of the last 3 months of the season

    No he didn't.

He played Rw for a bit of the season when Ake was there as they pushed Francis over to right back.

That was earlier in the season iirc.
I don't see him taking Stanislas' place on the right this season though. He's a wait and see for me.

I was taking it from the word of Simon Stone who is usually bang on the money with his United comments:

    https://twitter.com/sistoney67/status/885950796734406656

I believe the comments were a bit ambiguous and it snowballed in a huge Twitter rumour.

He wasn't on the right from what I remembered, he was more through the centre. The old memory ain't what it used to be I guess

I'm not sure about him any more now! Ake is the obvious alternative but not convinced he'll have the same impact as his loan spell.

City just signed another mid. As if it wasn't enough of a minefield.

    19. Straight out on loan I'd imagine.

What are people's thoughts on Newcastle this year? Fans weren't happy with his conservative approach in the Championship last year...he's bound to carry this forward into the Premier League, which may mean their defence offers some value....Yedlin at 4.5m with some potential attacking returns?

Yes, he seems the best option from all the promoted clubs, Gayle may be worth a flier if he starts off well, also.

Knockaert was forced off just 10 mins into #BHAFC first pre-season game. He left the ground on crutches with his leg in a protective boot.

Arsenal had a preseason game today, not a first XI by any means, but interestingly, Elneny played as one of the back 3. He's obviously a reverse OOP player, but if that becomes a thing, would have implications for some of the other defenders (Holding/Gabriel).

Didn't see the game but Twitter tells me he looked like a MAscherano-type CB, ball playing centerback

Alexis Sanchez: "I want to play in the Champions League. The decision isn't down to me, I need to wait for Arsenal." [@RadioSportChile] https://t.co/OKTtAb4nUm

Alexis Sanchez: I have made my decision. I have to wait for Arsenal's response, it depends on them. My idea is to play the Champions League.

Hmm, let's see where this ends up....

That would be bye bye Jesus from any of my plans. I think Arsenal would be insane to sell City though (their fans would fullon revolt) so instead I think it will be bye bye Sanchez from my plans for a year at least.

I might too. He was my stand-out player this year.
