Who's the safest midfielder at £6.0m or less?

At the moment trying to decide between Shaqiri, Chadli, Philipps, Snodgrass or Iwobi.

mine is capoue. nailed on and will get goals.

Would anyone have any love for Pedro? I see him in very few teams (not in mine) but the more I look at him, the more im edging towards bringing him in.
Guaranteed starter, could potentially plat a false 9 role and was ahead of all Pool mids last year.
Probably tougher fixtures than United / Pool but is he been a tad underestimated?

anyone know if the main boards FPL league is running this year? never got renewed.

Probably been discussed before but any opinions on Salah over Mane? Have gone with Mane, anyone going to convince me to free up 0.5?

I think both will get double digit figures for goals and both will be in the top 6 scoring mids in the league barring injury. I've gone salah for the extra.5 and he has looked a threat in pre season any games I've seen.

I'm trying very hard to find the million to get him in for willian.

Willian gettin 4 goals pre season and Fabregas playing and on some dead balls is prob swaying people towards them more so than Pedro. Pedro also worth a shout for sure but Willian and Fab slightly edge it for me with the chance of taking a few corners and fks

I'd be tempted to chance Iwobi for under 6 but the under 6's are a bit grim... so I'd personally be inclined to get the usual 4.5 lads and upgrade elsewhere. Ritchie and JWP might be worth a look in for 6 and 5.5

For midfield, they will go with Chalobah (£4.5) and Doucoure (£5.0) sitting. Pereyra (£6.0) also a sure thing for them no.10 or on the left.

Salah for me. I don't think there'll be much to separate them over the course of the season if they both remain fit. The 0.5 saving with Salah is the clincher.

    Redmond or Tadic I can't decide ?

Yeah that's what i'm on. Having neither of Jesus/Aguero gives me the fear, but i can't shake the feeling that one or the other (or both) could spend more time on the bench than you'd want for a premium striker. KDB is more secure of starts i think, and if he stays injury free i'd say there's a chance he could be top points scorer for the season.

Have been burnt by both Tadic and Gabbi. Something tells me Gabbi is going to score GW1 though to further troll those who he trolled last season and are afraid to get him again

You'd wanna tell that to his current 8% of owners.

His value will fall very sharply when people realise, especially considering he has 8% ownership.

No chance of starting, they will 100% go with Chalobah and Doucoure.

    Eriksen and Firmino

    v

Kane and JWP (or another up to 6.0m midfielder)

Currently with the first one but at least I know I can get Kane in 2 transfers if need be, Lukaka and Gayle other strikers.

Why all the JWP love? Good pre-season?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,690 ✭✭✭Mokuba

Why all the JWP love? Good pre-season?

Likely (not certain) to start, a cheap way into a Southampton attack who have extraordinarily easy fixtures, and on set pieces too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,290 ✭✭✭-=al=-

JWP has decent fixtures, on some dead balls, and Tadic is usually a flop

The fear factor without Kane would be immense for gw1

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,083 ✭✭✭Chesty08

Have found myself swerved towards a 4-3-3 formation

    Hennessy

    Kolasinac Danilo Berty TAA

    KDB Salah JWP

    Kane Aguero Firmino

It's a strong front 5 but is it overkill Liverpool & City plus with defenders from them?

Is Lukaku from Aguero a safer hedge?

Considering Firmino for the first time now. Good discussion about him on yesterday's scoutcast.

He will be first choice left back for now at least.

Doesn't go forward much so unlikely to get goals/assists or even bonus points - but could be good for a 6 point return for many of the first few fixtures.
