Results are as posted by Paulos53 with the exception that Break80 couldn't win longest drive as he was already in the prizes. Spacecoyote was 37 yards further but missed the fairway by less than a yard.

It was a great day out anyway in Costa del Ballykisteen. Course was in the best shape I've ever seen it. Benny79 won the picky out prize

There was no winner of the 2s so the money carries forward to the next event.

I've updated the Golfer of the Year standings and after his 2nd place finish on Saturday paulos53 takes over the lead from Tigerwood1 and Break80.

I will enjoy top spot while it lasts. As all of the chasers have played fewer games I expect to drop a few spots after Moyvalley

A cracking day out on a cracking course.

Hadn't played Ballykisteen before, and was an absolute pleasure. I can see why the got the Europro event, its a great set up & a course I'd happily play again.

Out with Benny & Ballyk for the round. None of us scored great, but the margins were very fine & on another day all 3 could have had much better looking scorecards.

Benny hit some super drives early in the round, but unfortunately the high draws progressively turned into hooks which meant he was chasing his tail a bit too regularly. Has got the game to get a lot lower than where he is at now, so won't be surprised to see things click for him soon & for the handicap to drop quickly

Ballyk played steady golf the whole way round, but couldn't really get his scoring going. Hit some great irons in, particularly on the par 5s, but the putts weren't dropping for him all day so couldn't convert his chances. Made some great pars on the tougher low index holes. Was generous with tips & pointers the whole way round.

I played steady for most of the round, was level 2s through 10 holes. A bit more luck and could have been 3/4 points better at that stage. Had 3 scratches on the way in though, 2 from lost balls off the tee, the third from a poor wedge approach being dumped into the water from a great spot on the 11th. Typical of the day, hit my best drive on the long drive 18th. Wandering up could see I was well beyond the mark on the fairway, but the undulating surface worked against me & I rolled a few feet off the edge.

Can't complain too much though, it was a stunning day to be outside in the sunshine, in good company.

Would have been nice to have been down for the night & to have set up outside for a few ice cold ciders afterwards
