Need lots more of that in the second half. Just keep the ball and no more kicking around half way.

Well worked and perfectly timed try.
Huge task in the second half though.

    Glimmer of hope ... just.

Should have dinked it over the top, probably would have drawn at least a penalty and possibly a yellow card if he'd run through the gap between defenders without the ball...

Should have had 2 men running off him

    It's possible, but unlikely.
To score 3 converted tries is a big ask, to do so without conceding to this Scarlets side is almost unthinkable

    Game of two halves?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 837 ✭✭✭Subpopulus

    That half flew by.

Any time I've seen Scarlets play they seem to score 2/3 tries in a blitzkrieg phase of play and just play solidly for the rest of the game. Very hard to overcome when they get that 15-20 point lead under their belts.

Massive task for Munster if they're to overcome this.

Whatever about this game....there is no reason for Beirne to be left in Wales for next season

Our wing is a tasty unattended area for them. My mate was screaming after 5 mins that the plan wasn't working. Tyler's restarts deep to them should be stopped. Keatley should have come on a half hour ago. We can't catch our breath with this game because we won't move from the plan. Disappointing first half.

Your mate needs to lay off the sauce, Keats isn't capable of doing any more than Blyendaahl

How did the Scarlets do in Europe this year?

He's already committed to Scarlets for another year, and in any case he's doing fine where he is - first choice lock in a team scoring for fun - where can he go in Ireland that's better right now? At the moment it's looking like he'll be the only Irish player to get domestic silverware this year.

New Irish IQ initiative should target him ... Munster could do with him....and if he wants to play international rugby .. he'll walk here from Wales, don't kid yourself otherwise

Gareth Steenson and Ian Whitten say hi. Oliver Jager has a chance too. Our ex pats making a mockery of the lads who stay

Drawing at home to Saracens with Sarries scoring a try in injury time is all I remember. Pretty poor campaign besides.

Anyone else who can't face the analysis of that first half?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,818 ✭✭✭Tigerandahalf

Some good players on that Scarletts team. Steff Evans on the wing looks a very good player. I think he is keeping the Canadian V der Merwe on the bench. He is a fine player too.

Munster just have no pace or flair. One out men all the time. Bulldozing their way over the gainline.

Hope 2nd half is as good.

    Ahhhhh stop

He's got a point, fair enough they may not be guaranteed starters but they deserve more than the exiled treatment.

If Munster get the first score here they'll win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

That looked a bit late by sailli

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

The skill set is appalling from Munster, like watching a J3 game out there.

Scarletts have been offside the whole game
How do Welsh teams always get away with that?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,722 ✭✭✭nice_guy80

    Any offload for Munster yet?

Why are every Wales tacklers getting away with not releasing tackle before going for the ball?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,722 ✭✭✭nice_guy80

That was stone wall penalty for Munster

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Scarlets offside from that knock on?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,721 ✭✭✭Erik Shin

Fck of Nigel...don't play the advantage, we want our penalty

Ryan never let go of the ball, another wrong call

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Jeez you could see that no challenge coming from a mile away.

EDIT - never moved from Ryan.

Why does bleyendaal insist on going long on every ****ing kick off. Just handing them possession. Go short and compete!!!

    Exactly! Christ
    , it's not partiality...it's plain stupidity on Nigel's part

Nah, Billy Holland took it off him after a second

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Great rob by Deysel, good to see a bit of hunger and anger from someone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

We're playing like it's still the first half, no urgency what so ever

After Shingler came in and made the tackle.

Scarlets are laughing at us at this stage.

We were poor against Saracens, but you could see there was pride and spirit there to the end.
I don't know what this is.....

I think we took our foot off since the Saracens semi final

It's a Scarlets team on top of their game giving us a hiding....we can't complain about that

Munster with some beautiful offloads - all to no avail though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

No attempt by Evans to get up there.

C'mon ta foook get something going.

Some very average players in that Munster 23 when you look past the five or six obviously international quality players on their books, quite a few being shown up today. The big worry is that a lot of them are considered good enough to be getting Ireland caps.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Jump_In_Jack

Owens seemingly doesn't penalise forward passes, knock-ons or tackler going after the ball.
Scarlets obviously knew this, why didn't Munster?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭razorblunt

Murray's looked more of a dodgy challenge than POM.

Didn't know Davies was on the floor.
