Something is wrong with some software I'm using.

It has opened in the top right hand corner of the monitor, and the X is not visible.

So, I can't tick the X and make it fill the screen.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks.

    D.

Try pressing f11. What's the name of the program? Did you install it?

    Thanks for the reply.

The program is called Phocus. It's for processing image files.

I've been using it for years.

I installed this version on this computer about two months ago.

    Had no problems until now.

The mouse slipped in my hand and the program moved to the top right of the screen, hiding the X box for extending it to full screen.

F11 has no effect. It does nothing. (It has no effect on other programs either.)

It's still opening in this position.

I can't find out how to manually override this.

    I'm Windows 10 Pro.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks.

    Sorted! (Well, sort of.............)

    I never knew this trick........

    https://windows.gadgethacks.com/how-to/use-snap-windows-10-expand-arrange-windows-side-by-side-0162956/

Click and hold the title bar and drag it to the top of the screen and release; the window will fill the entire screen. It does, and now I can see the X and the screen fill toggle next to it, in the top right hand corner.

However, while the screen fill toggle shows FULL SCREEN, if I click on it to release full screen, the program reverts to the previous problem of it disappearing (rather than reducing all four sides an equal amount within the monitor area) and I have to click and drag the title bar again to make it reappear.

    So, can I fix this?

    Thanks.

Press Windows+LeftArrow (when the program has focus). It will resize it to take up the left half of the screen

Try double click on the title bar.
