Firearm Substitution Time Scale

    Does anyone know if there is limit to how much time you have when submitting a firearm substitution after handing in a rifle to a RFD.

    I have sold a rife to an RFD but am still waiting on the serial number for my new rifle. It could be another couple of weeks before I get the serial, any issue with not submitting a substitution immediately after handing in the rifle you are substituting

    Do you mean time frame for handing in the FCA1 for the sub?

    No limit. You stay licensed on the gun you are currently licensed on regardless of whether you have it in your possession or in an RFD (until the expiry of your license anyway)

    Thanks mate, that's exactly it, with RFD but can't submit FCA1 yet because I'm waiting on a serial number.
