Kathy Griffin is a very funny woman. That's all I've got to say on the subject.

BTW, this doesn't compare to the crap Obama got, and Trump even invited Ted Nugent to the White house, who joked about killing Obama.

The whole thing is hypocrisy of the highest order. The most sensitive snow flakes are Donald Trump and his supporters.

You seem kinda triggered there yourself.

Ah come on now. I'm no fan of Trump but if that was Obama or in fact any black person she would lose more than her job.

    She'd probably be locked up.

Ted Nugent said he wanted to put a machine gun in Obamas and Hillary Clintins mouths
Presumably to pull the trigger. He was recently photographed in the oval office with trump.

    Barron Trump is 11.

If he was watching TV after the watershed then it's likely to be inappropriate and perhaps it's time to call social services.

How come no one is going after the news channel that decided to show the picture ?

On the subject of inappropriate TV
The typical American child will view more than 200,000 acts of violence, including more than 16,000 murders before age 18.

If wee Barron lived in the same house as his father or indeed saw or spoke to him on a regular basis, he would know that he wasn't really beheaded on national television.

Griffin has rightly been punished for her inappropriate actions. Although in her defence I've heard she suffers from her nerves, to put it politely.

Or to put it more bluntly, I believe she suffers from being a bit of a bollocks.

Anyway I think the joke was immature and stupid and tasteless and I dont feel bad for her

A lot of jokes are immature and stupid. And comedians tend to make jokes. Even crap crass ones. Maybe jokes are passe now. We've all moved on.

Kathy Griffin is holding a press conference this morning to outline the bullying she has received from the Trump family.

Now, she held up a severed head of Donald , they all - Donald, Melania and The unfortunately named Barron (quite rightly) went mad over it, and now she's accusing them of bullying her.

She can give it, but she can't take it.

    True

But I would wager ...this is epic for her career. It's PR gold.

    It's all kinda cheap though.

Kathy is the redhead. Donald has a red hat on.

It's amazing how many people, all of them celebrities, had no problems whatsoever with Trump while he was just a billionaire buying them dinners and cocktails and inviting them to his parties. But now since he's won an election all of a sudden he's Satan incarnate

The idea that you believe 11-year-old Barron Trump was sitting in his faux-Gold-Tower watching CNN or MSNBC and recoiled in shock at a news report is laughable.

If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you.

By the way, if you think Kathy Griffin's "art" was in poor taste, I'm sure you're outraged by his mothers idea of "art"...

    Trump is a Dem.

He rented out the GOP to run for Office as a publicity stunt. Now he won and he's stuck with it. Hence the putting on weight and looking miserable. He'll resign as soon as he gets the tax cuts and the Presidential Pardon.

It's a weird concept for a photo to put it mildly.

the publicity shot of Kathy Griffin announcing the press conference looks absolutely nothing like the woman holding up the severed head. It's like a different person.

She must have a few of them aul severed heads, which she swops for photos.

Bit disrespectful for families that have suffered from the likes of ISIS etc. decapitating their loved ones. Still imagine she got the coverage she wanted, although probably didn't imagine loosing her Xmas show.

Does the same happen to you when you watch something like GOT? Are you sitting there thinking of those who lost loved ones to ISIS?

Are you thinking I'm upset by the image or something? I'm not wringing my hands for the families of Isis victims over it. I'm just telling you that it reminded me of the Isis beheading videos when I saw it and it seems other people thought the same thing. It seemed a real dumb move on the part of Kathy Griffin and her team to use the image given the current climate in the US.

Best all hunker down then and play nice for fear of falling foul and losing your job..

An environment where people are succumbing to those who want to suppress freedom of expression is hardly healthy.

I'm not sure where the suppression of freedom of expression is coming into this unless she was arrested for taking part in the image and I didn't hear about it.

She had the freedom to express herself through the image. People on both sides of the spectrum had the freedom to express their distaste at the image and the company employing her had the freedom to jettison her when they felt the adverse publicity wasn't worth it. If she really wants total freedom of expression, working for a news corporation isn't going to be the place for her.

I hate the way this "freedom of expression" term is thrown around to allow for any kind of behaviour.

As I've stated above, would it have been the same reaction if it was Obamas head? I don't fcuking think so.

I can't stand Trump but I don't get where the haters think it's okay to do or say whatever they feel like when it comes to him.

The Violent Left has a long tradition of aggression and actual physical violence.
In Europe as well as America.

Look at movements like antifa supported in secrecy or openly by many leftists and celebs.

It's the violent moderates you have to be careful about.

Those violent Centrists are the worst. Supporting, through brute force, a balance of a degree of social equality and a degree of social hierarchy; while opposing political changes which would result in a significant shift of society either strongly to the left or the right! I say a street fight between Centre-Leftists and a Centre-Right gang last night. It was carnage. Their slightly differing social and economic policies took on a bloody hue then.

That's a better term, will be using that in future. Starting to associate moderates with the head choppers in Syria.
