    Afternoon Y'all,

    Looking for some advice/opinions please. I need to replace the hard drive in a Lenovo Z500 laptop. I've shortlisted these two drives;
    Hitachi HTS721010 A9E630 Travelstar 7 K1000 1000 GB HARDDRIVE 2.5 Serial ATA
    or
    Seagate ST1000LX015 FireCuda 1 TB 5400 RPM 2.5 inch SATA Internal SSHD Hard Drive with 7 mm Form Factor, 128 MB Cache & SATA 6 GB/s up to 140 MB/s

    Anyone got experience of either or both of these drives? i'm looking for opinions/guidance on which of the two I might select. Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    The SSHD will get you better performance. However if you could just get an SSD instead that would be much better :)

    Appreciate the reply Ger. I was toying with the idea of an ssd but the budget will only stretch to a 500gb and I'm not sure in the long run if that's large enough. The laptop's the other halfs she uses it a lot for images and video. Thanks again for replying

    No problem. The SSHD should give it a nice boost already!
