Mandzucik sloppy again caught waiting for the ball in the build up.

If you can't track Madrid best player running in to your box, something has gone proper wrong.

    Ah well, game over

That might be it, and who else would it be... hat trick even on the cards the way this half has gone so far?

    Solid defending there.

Not seen many teams run out of gas as alarmingly as Juve have tonight.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,436 ✭✭✭One_Of_Shanks

That's that. Madrid have been way too good 2nd half. Juve stopped playing at half time really.

    Game over.

    Ballon Dor again.

Best player on the planet. His movement tonight has made the best defence on the planet left scratching their heads.

10 goals in the knock out stages... Jesus if only he showed up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,415 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Great run by Ronaldo to get on the end of that, hard to see Juve get back into this without a moment of madness from RM

Tonight's been a bit of a nightmare for Buffon and the three lads at the back. Shame.

Juve have been desperately disappointing in the second half

Be the first team to win the CL back to back

Great goal...Juve dont have the ability, or balls to score 2.. (Hope I'm wrong)
Ronaldo is a formidable goal scorer ..

It's the first time since inception a team has retained the title and because it's Madrid it's, Meh.

If any other team did this they would be lauded as one of the best ever.

Havnt watched much of juve this season but have they been getting away with this level of ball watching all along?

If juventus put as much effort into trying to play a bit as they do rolling around on the ground after harmless tackles they'd be a lot better off.
At least Madrid try to play some football.

Ah now there's much of a muchness between the two teams (or pretty much any other team) when it comes to that stuff. Madrid are no saints.

Juve conceded as many goals tonight as they have in the league, disappointing.

He's been beaten twice by deflections and once from half a yard out. Bit harsh no?

Bar Manzukic goal if he does his job those 2 goals are negated

Surely Ronaldo goes down as the best player in history

    Pretty much.
The retention issue isn't as huge a deal as it should be when you consider that it's a competition that's been dominated by the same handful of sides for the last few years.
Flip a coin enough times and you'll get the same result twice in a row reasonably quickly.

    Glazers Out!

Probably not no, he's phenomenal no doubt but I think there's a huge recency bias in that idea. Either way with how football has changed through time I think naming a single "best of all time" or even some sort of ranked list is an impossible task.

    Decent point.

Another Madrid goal and Juve will be lucky to finish with 10.

It's actually fcuking ridiculous to realise that this team has James Rodriguez and Gareth Bale just sitting on the bench, completely unneeded.

RM dominant. Modric running the show.

He's not even the best player of his own era in fairness. Probably into the top 10 now though.

I'd generally agree, but then in would have him and Messi both in the top, top tier with the likes of Beckenbauer, Pele, Maradona, Di Stefano, Cruyff and maybe one or two others not coming to mind right now.

That said, even Ronaldo's doubters have nothing to say after the QF, SF and tonight. The sheer resentment of him reaching his full potential from some has been one of the most baffling things I've ever seen in any sport.

Ah well he's either best or 2nd best of his generation to be fair. I think 2nd best, but each to their own.
    Some player either way!

You know people actually dont hate ronaldo in here at all. Its this constant bull**** repeated over and over again by posters like you is what we hate.

Yeah Modric has been brilliant. Such a smart little player.

And to think Madrid's team will only get stronger this summer. Some of the their 'dead wood' would walk onto nearly any other XI on the planet. Scary scary.

Deserves MOTM but it will go to Ronaldo.

Such a pity like 2 years ago Juventus look like they didn't believe they were going to win it. Playing the back 3 was a bad move by Allegri.
5 final defeats in a row. Some unwanted record.
