    Hi,
We are thinking of buying a mobile home and from my internet research Oatfields in Kilmuckridge seems to come with good recommendations. We are brand new to this. How much are the annual fees? How
Much should we expect to pay for a Mobile here. We have three children under four so am hoping that this will be a good idea as they grow up. During the summer months I would hope to stay down quite a bit and my husband commute to Dublin. Would you recommend this holiday park? Are there Any others closer to Dublin that are worth exploring too? Thanks in advance 😜

I know Oatfields it does have a mix of older people and young families but i cant tell you much about its day to day activities.

You have young children so this would be the most popular park for young children. Prospect holiday and leisure park in Ballymoney "ask for Aine or Bronagh" http://prospectpark.ie/ https://www.facebook.com/Prospect-Holiday-Leisure-Park-132589957710/photos/ it has 2 swimming pools numerous playgrounds and it has a big play barn for young kids. there are plenty of activities each day for children and teenagers to do.

You could also check out S&E Farrell's "ask for Warren or Sam " they have 2 parks 1 in Polshone and the other in Blackwater both close to the Beaches. https://www.facebook.com/sefarrellholidayparks/posts/1316905185075538 https://www.sefarrellholidayparks.com/

Just be aware of the pitfalls of buying onto some sites. Some of the site owners, have, as their main business, sales of mobile homes.
This may not appear to be a problem at first glance, but some of these site owners can begin to apply pressure after a few years to update the mobile home and you will be obliged to buy from them at premium prices, or take your mobile home off site. You will then have a big problem siting it anywhere else. Given that prices start at around €15,000 for a second hand unit and site fees are upwards of €2000, this could turn into an expensive exercise.
Having said all that, I bought a mobile home in Ardamine before the era of the big owners and it was one of the best decisions of my life. We had it for about twenty years and my family spent the entire summer holidays there, we made as much use of it as possible on weekends and Bank Holidays too. My children looked forward to the end of the school year more than to Christmas and still have the friends they made during their time there. My wife and I moved to the Courtown area after I retired and have absolutely no regrets. So if you can get the right terms, I would say, go for it.

Thanks very much for that, I will contact both. I have seen Prospect Park pop up a few times and that it gets great reviews. The reason I was going with Oatfields was due to the 10.5 month season. I will look into the two you recommemded. Thanks
