I went Alli/Lowton over Eriksen/Long in case Mee was fit.

Hope that doesn't come back to haunt mee :P

Scan confirms Danny Rose suffered a minor calf injury. Could be available for Tuesday, but it depends on how he responds to treatment over the coming days.... #COYS

I'm still of the opinion that Rose will play in the semi injury or no injury. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

I've decided against playing the Long game also.

Why would they play an injured player?

No I mean I think it was the plan already before his injury.

@FFScout: Pep Guardiola ahead of Man City’s trip to Spurs: “Aguero is injured, Mendy is out, Stones is not ready”. https://goo.gl/jKM2rN

I don't know how much more of aguero we will see this season
Jesus in for lukaku 35 if aguero is out fir a while longer

Definitely. I had a temporary brain freeze and thought City had a double this week...that plan was quickly foiled!

I'll probably end up with Andy king actually instead of Kennedy
It's absolutely bizarre how every season I seek to have double swans for most of it !!

He trained all week apparently. I'm hoping he'll come off the bench for the first game, and start the second.

Why has Firmino got a neck problem all of a sudden? I don't think Klopp mentioned it earlier

He did. He also said Firmino is expected to be fine for tomorrow.

From leaning in closely to the mirror while flossing

I'm not seeing any update on Alonso being punished retrospectively?

    Anyone?

    Anyone?

We'll prob know by lunch time tomorrow.

I have a feeling Emerson might start ahead of him on Thurs though.

Can't see why he would be punished retrospectively. Most games have a bad tackle or two that go unpunished.

Haven't seen it mentioned but I'm fairly sure that was a revenge attack for the swipe Long had on Azpi a bit earlier. Retrospective bonus points for helping out a team mate if anything!

I think it’s fair to say Alonso won’t be calling on you to defend him if charged! I only took a swipe at him because he kicked my mate your honour!

I’d be very surprised if he isn’t charged tbh. It was an ugly tackle.

Last word was they're investigating it still.

I wouldn't put anything past the FA obviously but the can of worms would be massive. Reed would have to say he didn't see something he was looking directly at. Then the genie is really out of the bottle.

I posted this in the matchday thread at the time, but it's probably much more suited to here here :

    From Sky Sports
    Incident:
Shane Long is challenged by Marcos Alonso, who studs him in the back of the leg. The Irishman requires treatment but Dean plays on, awarding no foul.

    Gallagher verdict:
It's a red card. I think Mike is too close, he hasn't got the right angle, and I think what will happen is the FA will say to him have you clearly seen it, and he clearly hasn't or he would give a foul.

If he sees hit, he's going to give it. It's something he hasn't seen, an unseen incident, it can be referred later, they'll speak to Mike Dean and ask him if he's seen it, and he'll obviously say no.

Looks good to me! :D :pac: :)

    Non-Alonso owner

With him not being English, there is a very high chance he gets this ban.

Literally only the referee saying he stands by his decision will save him. And while Mike Dean certainly loves being the star of the show I’m not sure he will add this to the repertoire.

Normally when I own the player in question.
