Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

My question relates to cable type machines. See the attached 2 pictures. One is a narrow one and the other one is a lot wider.

Is the wider one better or preferred or can the same type of exercises and results be achieved with the narrow machine?

The width, height or depth of the machine makes no material difference.

I'd go with the wider type of m/c because I'm used to it in the gym. The most important thing imho is that you can adjust the height of the bracket attaching the handle. One of the cable machines in our gym has two set positions: high or low to attach the handles and that limits the amount of exercises you can do on it by quite a bit.

Are you thinking or buying one? Or just which one to use in the gym?
