Easy win for 21s hurlers. Seem to be serious side. Cuala's achievements might not be only thing to happen this year!

Strong team named anyway. Can't link as on phone. JG not taking any chances.

We all know how to get to Portlaoise.

Other than who has the best donuts in Midway, that's about the most interestingly debatable thing about tomorrow.

It's not about awarding Wicklow supporters. If its a home draw then home team should have the pitch. If Man U draw Exeter in FA Cup they don't move the game to Southampton!

Yep. Gavin taking no chances!! Putting out a team which would be strong enough in an AI final itself, let alone the first round.

I agree with this part most lads in wicklow seem to prioritise thier club and not want to play for wicklow.
If you are getting hidings and hardly any wins who could blame them?
    The micko revival was shortlived.

When you think of what Rathnew did to Vinnies it makes you think.

Leinster u21 will be very competitive this year with both kk and Galway very strong also! Love the knockout nature of the u21 championship

Proper championship. A good few teams coming in with a chance. Some of Dublin senior pick obviously concentrating on this!

Today's match isn't a sell out is it?

This day 17 year ago Stephen Cluxton made his championship debut for Dublin against Longford. Today he plays his 92nd championship game. Jim Gavin played his last championship game in Croke Park on same day

You might look at the attendances for league games.

McCarthy not doing great under a high ball at all.

Hard really to say much else about it.

Fenton sounding imperious going by what the lads are saying.

Full Time 4-25 (37) 1-11 (14). Good start too 8 in a row. Longford up next and hopefully Carlow in the final. The decline of Meath continues to,which has round the day of beautifully.

Did it do anyone any good though besides been a "nice day out" pointless game
the fellas on the radio were saying Wicklow played better in the second half.
It was obvious Dublin eased up on them though.
I often wonder in games like these the potential of match fixing on a scoring spread must be an enormous temptation for players (from both sides) where the result is a foregone conclusion.

Grand we will stop now or we are x ahead or we need a another few to beat the spread by y or ease up to let them get closer.
Or even we will lose the second half after we have enough lead in the first.....
    First goalscorer.....number of goals...
The possibilities are endless given the number of markets in the betting industry.

And they just have to get other people to place the bets at different locations and betting companies so as not to arouse suspicion.
A lot of smallish bets rather then big attention drawing bets job done.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has not been done already given the lopsided nature of the championship in the early rounds.
I doubt it would ever come out unless someone is caught on it.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

A lot of small bets will arouse suspicion in the same way as one big bet. The gambling companies didn't come down in the last shower you know.

    Enjoyable day out in Portlaoise.

Great performances by Fenton and Kilkenny, with O'Callaghan also showing class. At the back Cooper played well. Those were the outstanding ones in my opinion, but in the first half, all of the team played well.

Second half we took the foot off the pedal. That made it hard for the subs, of whom only Murchan made an impression. McManamon looked off the pace, Flynn was very rusty, though he tried.

Still have to come back to Fenton, he was just brilliant.

Fenton is up their with best midfielders of all time. Clever chap too, Well able to look after himself and didn't get dragged into the gutter by the Princes of the Pigskin. Unlike his predecessor the great Brian who just smacked them in the mouth :-)
