Will be interesting to see how Dublin fare against the first Division 1 team they've had to play in the championship

Much the same as the last time they played a Division I team in the championship I would imagine.

Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha

That's serious scoring. Two penalties I believe. That's Mannion off them thankfully.

Galway next. Unfortunate, you like to see a decent crowd at these games.

Was just crunching a few numbers and looking at the average of the starting 15 and squad in the Jim Gavin era.

2013 AI Starting 15 average age 24.66, total players used average 25.2

2018 AI Starting 15 average age 26.2, total players used average 26.9

2019 Leinster Final starting 15 average 27.2, total players used average 27.7

According to Gaelic stats the peak years of a Gaelic Footballer is between 23 and 27 which would explain the current dominance, there then is a dramatic drop off from 28 onwards.

So only going by statistics, the football team should be due to decline from their sky high standards from next year onwards, it will be interesting to see and we may see teams come closer to Dublin which may end the current begrudgery of this team and calls for splitting up etc will soon disappear
Don't worry your u20's have just walked Leinster so the gap between you and the rest in the province should increase next year. Since 2009 you've won 8 u20/21's so let's no kid ourselves here.

Cluxton won't call it a day after 5. Why not do 6, 7 or 8? He'll keep going while you are winning and until someone forces him off the team.

Cluxton already has six All-Ireland medals.

Charlie Nelligan has seven. Cluxton might want to stay on and beat that.

I'm distraught by it. So much so I'm drinking 21 year old scotch. I feel terrible.

And I was only drinking some cheap white wine. Have to dig out the serious stuff now, then again it might be sweeter tomorrow night.

Will you do us all a favour and take this to the thread that was created for this type of post. Let’s leave this to Dublin football and not the political side of it. Thank you in advance. No need to reply.

Is today the neutral game or the home game for Dublin?

At this point I don't know if it's trolling or wilful ignorance.

No doubt he'll go for the record. Why wouldn't he at this point.

    Spillane has eight doesn't he?

If Costello starts I think he’s gonna smash it today. Bad day for him last week. He’s much better than that.

Don't understand not bringing on Bernard in second half.

I know I've said it million times in this forum today but it's poor form. Guy deserves it in which is more likely his last season.

The guy is finished. He's not performing well enough in training to get on ahead of others. If he was in another county he'd get on but he's not.

Why is he on bench then?

I have no doubt that Bernard being in the squad is making others up their game. That's how it works....for the good of Dublin, it's not about individuals. He's still a legend of Dublin football.

I'm sure he's a great influence on the younger lads. I'd guess he's on the bench because he's better then those who are not. But in terms of getting on not good enough. I'd give him a slim chance up in Omagh. Could be the last you see of him.

You're picked if you're good enough. Whats unfair about that?
