I annoyed the fella from tickets.ie with a second email 'are you sure there was no PDF available before?' type of thing. I was going to print it off the ticket etc.

This is the reply I got -

"If you purchase a ticket in-store, you receive a physical ticket, the same kind of ticket you would get if we posted one out to you. Tickets won't be scanned as there is no scanning in the stadium. No, there was no E-Tickets available at any point for this event."

There definitely has been pdf's for McHale PArk before. I'm almost certain.

I wonder how they'll scan season tickets so...

Another reason to split us into 2/4/6; We can afford the scanning machines.
Probably that sponsorship deal that Heffo had the vision to organise with HP or Xerox back in the 60s.

I strongly suspect it is a bit of brush off with answer(s) I was given from tickets.ie.
It does not make much sense to me - as they could just tell people to print off the tickets when they get them sent as pdf as there is no scanning machines.
When you think about it people who are time poor are not going to bother going to Supervalu specifically for tickets. Then will have to pay the €1.95 postage which is I assume is a good money maker

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

All tickets gone online according to tickets ie.
Some may be available in selected Supervalu's.
Breaffy house full also according to Facebuke.

I shall be gracing the good people of Claremorris Kiltimagh with my presence. Yet again. Hope they have the red carpet all spick & span.

What is our games unbeaten streak against this mob again...is it currently at 14 or 15 games? I've lost track.

Good win for DCU last night, I wonder will we see Shane Carthy ever back, now that his troubles are behind him and he gotten the help that he needs he may come back and would be a huge addition to the midfield with Fenton. But perhaps for his own sake he might not want it

Presume the online is not available any more cause they couldn't guaranteed that they would be delivered on time. Hopefully that's the case anyway. I still have to get one. Better nip over to Supervalu now.

I am going to stay in the wild west at the weekend - Galway relations.
But I have more giving out to do as a result.
A bit annoyed that they have the hurling match at 2PM on Sunday.
To be able to go to both you would have to go up and down the one day on the Saturday. Or have an early day on the Sunday tearing back to be in Donnycarney by two.
It is no wonder that Dublin is not seen as a proper dual county.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Isn't that what Mayo, Kerry, Cork etc would have to do when there is a 2pm throw in Croke Park. Get up crack of dawn and head up ? Both on seperate days gives you guys a good opertunity to see both.

I never stay down in Castlebar, always up and down in one day. It is a miserable place, always wet and cold.

    Not feeling the love here.

Yikes if your comrade in arms Prouddub can cope with a night in coillte mach I'd highly recommend you take the train bound for Westport where you'll have a whale of a time.

You'll soon forget about the oft miserable nights for our most recent contests and comfort yourself in your record against us.

That's a lot of annual leave days. You might as well just retire!!

Are any of the lads who weren't around the first day against Kerry who are not carrying injuries excepted back for tommorrw?

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,125 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

Dunno how I feel about Rory O Carroll starting he hasn't looked up to speed since coming back.

    Dublin team for tomorrow night

Evan Comerford; Eric Lowndes, David Byrne, Rory O'Carroll; James McCarthy, John Small, Eoin Murchan; Brian Fenton, Brian Howard; Niall Scully, Paul Mannion, Ciaran Kilkenny; Kevin McManamon, Paddy Andrews, Dean Rock.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,787 ✭✭✭Fann Linn

Time for Lowndes, Mannion and O'Carroll to make amends for last week.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,042 ✭✭✭rolling boh

you would think Rory has to make this chance count think Paul will still play a big part so no concern about him really . Really hope we can sort out the tackling because a big fear I have is we will lose players to cards from inconsistent officals later in the year when the chips are reall down .

Lol....I have one of those handy gigs where John Costello, the CEO of AIG, the Lord Mayor of Dublin and auld Mr Brennan pay my wages. You know, the ones where you (and your Mammys and girlfriends) get all your meals delivered 365 days a year and we all have our own private helicopters to get the messages in. Not gonna lie. It's a pretty sweet gig.

Nobody who was only 2 weeks back from Bali has to make amends for anything imo. Against Mayo, they'll only be 3 weeks back. Am not expecting them all to be able to pull up trees just yet. Agree that the clock is ticking for Rory though, in ways that it isn't for the others.

The ref has just ruined the game already. Yellow/black card

So the ref should make his decisions on the basis of whether he's going to ruin the game?...........not on the the actions of the players?

It was not a red, a yellow yes. it had the potential to be a decent close game.

    Can't see it now.

He'll need an escort out of Castlebar the way hes going.

You say that like it is a cold hard fact.

High tackle is a yellow...fair enough.

In my opinion that tackle was no different to a strike which is a red card.

There's a big difference between a deliberate high tackle and one that occurs completely accidently ( which only deserves a yellow)

In my opinion a deliberate high tackle is even more dangerous than a strike and should receive the same punishment as a strike

Poor enough fare so far, Mayo generally on top but only 4 points -Dublin sloppy upfront. 3 points in 33 mins against 14 men, McHugh two easy misses, O'Brien not in the game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,125 ✭✭✭✭How Soon Is Now

    Awful game.

When was last time Dublin had such low score at half time!

Daniel Jordan has previous. Thankfully he didn’t accost the ref this time. He has costed Mayo any chance of winning though.

Watching HT analysis on my phone. Hysterical how delighted everyone is at how unimpressive we are. Lads, it's February 1st !

Nice of Eir Sports to have 2 Mayo men (Finnerty & Billy Joe) on match commentary btw. And Andy Moran doing the sideline stuff. First Mayo person to get a dig in about "the Dublin media" is getting a hearty puck in the gob !

Eir is basically Mayo Fan TV, they’re as bad for bias towards them as Off the Ball are.
