Not great so far for the footballers.

Things could be worse though, look at Mayo GAA, they organised a pitch inspection 60 seconds before throw in. Game called off. Embarrassing stuff.

No differ to the few neck-high challenges that the visitors to Pats Park were guilty of either.

Anyway. Luke Kelly. Heffo. Mrs.Brown. Molly Malone. The majority of the new settlers in the Courtown/Riverchapel area. Your boys took one hell of a beating ;)

Against an very experimental team coming off the back of a 16 point defeat no less.

Whisper it quietly- there's going to be a sea-change in Leinster this year ;)

    Hon the Wexicans!!

Drawing with Offaly and beaten by Wexford all in the space of less then a week.

So, would you say it's time for everyone to panic?

It's the only way I can imagine how us other lesser counties will be able to compete against them in the OBC.

    Will take decades to recover.

And if you refer to my post above. I backed Wexford at 6/4.

Day Wexford footballers beat Dublin in real match pigs will be battling with planes out of Dublin airport :)

Dublin were beaten in the O'Byrne cup last year which the media glossed over to proclaim them as the new footballing Messiah, they ultimately fell on their own sword when faced with Kerry in the League final. Subsequently later in the Championship two pro-Dublin referees Dublin based Joe McQuillan handed them the All-Ireland against Mayo with the worst most one-sided refereeing I have ever seen, David Gough another Dublin based pro-Dublin referee intervened to ensure Kerry would not appear in the final in a series of total disgraceful decisions which ultimately saw Mayo prevail in the semi-final replay.

This has totally besmirched the very good record Dublin holds but until we see fairness in the GAA with regard to neutral unbiased refereeing appointments then Dublin's record is sullied entirely. The media can proclaim todays defeat as a victory because the media and GAA are keen to milk the Dublin corporate brand. Its all a money making racket by the GAA and these gutter tactics to keep Dublin winning by the GAA are doing no favours for the association at all.

To go back a year, how did we fall on our own sword against Kerry?

To go back a year, how did we fall on our own sword against Kerry?

They were beaten all over the field and then Kerry collapsed mid way through the second half and it was there for the taking by Dublin but Kerry ultimately clung on despite a dubious free in at the finish which Dublin failed to convert which would have levelled the game. Dublin played rotten in the All-Ireland final and Kerry would have them well beaten all over the field and as we saw in 2016 disgraceful refereeing decisions and sheer luck (Two Mayo own goals) has kept Dublin at the forefront. The are not miles ahead of everyone else and are very lucky to be where they are now. It is far from the total domination as the media would like to portray, if Dublin have to visit Killarney this year as part of the Super-8's they will be truely exposed without home advantage especially if there is a referee who is actually fair and neutral.

Gosh. That's an awful lot of bitterness & bile on display, for the first week of January....and not an Andy Moran kissed jersey crest in sight.

You really need to pace yourself.

You'll give yourself an ulcer by Paddy's Day, if you keep that up.

Now excuse me while I go bow down before our new imperial O'Byrne Cup overlords.

    All hail the Wexicans !

So what you’re saying is you’re no Dublin fan? How are we going to sleep tonight?

    Another clueless multi reg post.

Yes Dublin prefer playing Mayo and need to be spared from the mighty kingdom.
