Wolfie jumped ship a few yewrs ago and it didn't work out and he's making good £££ in the BDO

Wolfie never jumped ship, he's like Mr BDO.

He played a few PDC events before they changed the rules of participation. Did quite well in them also, even winning one, the 99 Scania Open.

I remember the Mark Frost one from last years Worlds.

The boul Frosty the Throw Man was drunk as a Lord on stage.

Gary Anderson his opponent wasn't one bit impressed with his antics.

I see Kevin "Monster" Munch was beaten.

Looked very good against Lewis, I'd expect him to get a card, just shows how tough it is

    Wes Newton, winstanley, cadby

these guys were at the highest peak at one time and now they have to go back to the start

id imagine they maybe back doing there day jobs

Jeffery De Zwan and Dirk Van Dubinjobe get cards from the Euro one,

There is only one card on offer each day for the European Q School so only Jeffrey De Zwan got one.

It really seems an unforgiving sport in a sense

Newton, Dudbridge and Kirk Shepherd are the obvious cases but for even guys like Colin Osborne, Adrian Gray, Kevin McDine who looked like future major champions once upon a time - they've completely faded into obscurity

I guess in many cases it's just a motivation thing? I'm sure it takes a lot of discipline to practice day after day and keep slogging away on the tour. Some probably prefer to go back to their steady day jobs I'd imagine?

FWIW there's lots of old World Championship matches on YouTube from 2007 and 2008. 2 interesting points to note: how low the averages were (players would hit big 1 or 5 with much more regularity), and how some of the players were barely ever heard of since. It's funny to hear the commentators profess so many of them as future stars of the game :D

10 years ago is not that long, you'd think in a game like darts that most would be able to still be competitive today

4 cards on offer and then they are amalgamated with the UK Q School to form a points table for the rest of cards that are left.

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure how the points table is going to work!

Can we just agree that the standard is lower and move on... its so tiresome seeing the same posts about the BDO compared to the PDC.

How's Danny Noppert doing in the Euro Q school?

I'd like him to get a card.
