It looks like Brighton got bumped off the list and seeing as they packed out two nights running in Rotterdam last year they're hoping for more of the same.

Nah, Brighton was already bumped last year (but got the BBC summer event as consolation).
This looks to be a week longer, 17 nights instead of 16. I always said the DPL was too short :)
edit : no more double headers in the second phase I guess.

Just reading Corey Carby broke his arm in a car accident. This kids talent seems to be going down the swanny. A shame, I think he has the game and attitude to topple mvg.

I think his attitude is exactly why he'll never get anywhere near MvG. Trouble seems to follow him around for some reason.....

MvG was more or less unplayable (again) in the final
Zee Germans obviously don't think much of him, hardly a ripple of applause when he checked out 170 to win 8-3..
Wade did well to win 3 legs

    How'd that finish?

    How'd that finish?

Had a dart to go 4/2 up missed it and Smith put on the afterburners, wasn’t really in it after that unfortunately.

Lennon looks like he has potential though.

    You not watching it?

    No afternoon session?!!

Snooker/darts events on ITV usually agree not to have Saturday afternoon sessions as the station shows horse-racing which has a similar demographic.

I was sure all the weekend long darts tournament had Saturday afternoon sessions.

I was sure all the weekend long darts tournament had Saturday afternoon sessions.

Not the ones on ITV4 generally - it's not a hard and fast rule though and can depend on whether it's a big horse meeting or 6 egg&spoon races from an all-weather track. But with the first big Cheltenham meeting of the season on ITV this afternoon they wouldn't have wanted darts on ITV4 at the same time as it basically reduces both audiences with no overall benefit.
The same thing does happen with the snooker as well, often have a tourney with game after game in the afternoon Mon-Friday and then a blank on Saturday afternoon.

    An unusual semi-final line-up of
    Simon Whitlock v Joe Cullen.
    James Wade v Max Hopp.
