Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's going to be one hell of a ride from here to the end of the season the way things are panning out. For the next 3 fixtures we will already know in advance what Brentford and WBA have done. If we lose (or even draw) any of these matches it could leave us under serious pressure. It's stating the obvious but a win tonight would give us a serious boost and give Brentford a real blow - they're starting to believe so it would be great to deflate that bubble this evening.
    God this league....

Tonight's game is huge, stoke will set up looking for a point, like Luton...We really need to get an early goal tonight

    From the Athletic

    This guy :)

Bricking it for this evening. Stoke can just sit back like Luton and try to snatch something on the counter. Could struggle to break them down, hope Pablo starts.

I am not convinced they can afford to do this. They are 1 point clear of relegation with Forest and Brentford still to play. Sitting back and hoping for the counter attack goal might not be enough to stay up.

They stuffed Barnsley on Saturday so they might feel confident and come at us.

With a 5pm KO, what time are people planning to start getting nauseous??

I don't think so - arguably, Stoke need the three points more than we do being 1 point from the bottom three. They really need a win which would improve their position by three places.

I doubt they'll park the bus. Earlier in the season perhaps but not now.

That said, I'm probably wrong and we'll lose 1-0 despite having 400 chances.

I get that but are Stoke looking at Leeds away as a chance to get 3 points , they'll be delighted with 1 and can play to win the last 4.

    Really nervous about tonight :(

O'Neil knows how to set up a team to defend. His aim will be to get points and his best way against us, is to sit back.

Hopefully an early goal to settle the nerves.

Please tell me there's more of you in the same boat ( or at least in a vaguely similar boat ) .

Trying to keep a small business afloat under these extremely trying circumstances, trying to make sure my elderly parents are staying safe and have everything they need, hoping my youngest child can handle the pressure of having to do final professional exams on an online platform in a month's time..........................and all I really care about at the moment is whether or not we can handle Tyrese Campbell and Sam Vokes at one end and that Pat puts away the first two chances that come his way at the other.

Christ I hate this............................but I love it as well.

Iam pretty much self employed these days, safe to say, I haven’t worked any of the days Leeds play, games are on in the morning here so bad result and Iam mad as hell and don’t want to do anything after, good result and Iam pumped so I treat myself to the rest of the day off :D

As said, this is huge, season defining game right here, just need to be clinical.

Douglas for sure, Alioski is very erratic so Iam not too concerned about that one
As always, in Bielsa we trust....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,070 ✭✭✭✭event

Dallas was always coming back in, annoyed about Costa though. Pablo must not be fit, no other reason to start him and Bielsa loves him.

I know McClean will do something good here for once. And vokes was a donkey with us so a cert to turn in to Zlatan

    Don't need a yellow that early :(
Need some possession to calm the nerves - nothing yet.

Bamford looks sharp, nice to see him have a pop from outside the box
As always, counter attack could be our undoing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

Ahhhhh Klich, come on dude, great defending though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,117 ✭✭✭jacool

He has to leave the pitch - not a head injury!!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

How, why, how, why, damn you McClean

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭blaa85

Roberts should have buried that. Great effort from Bamford, he's looking good so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,070 ✭✭✭✭event

2 cleared off the line. Gonna be one of those games.

Poor from Roberts. He hasn't been great since restart

Yep, just needed a bit of composure, some great last ditch defending from stoke Though

Roberts trying to make every ball a killer ball.
He has put 2 teammates under huge pressure and then given the ball away.
Its a simple game - keep it simple.

Pablo at HT, Roberts off please

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,024 ✭✭✭10000maniacs

They don't seem to be playing like there is a lot at stake. Hopefully the second half is better.

It was a head in hands challenge, what was the defender thinking.

Did he even get a yellow? Ref has been a bit lenient with some of Stokes challenges in my opinion

Game is crying out for Pablo, Philips has too much of the ball, he isn’t creative enough to make things happen like Pablo is if he was on the pitch with him.

He was thinking he better get Leeds to score somehow for his bet to come in, but dont make it too obvious

    Possession Home73% Away27%
    Shots Home8 Away2
    Shots on Target Home4 Away0

Now its down to the managers.
Does O'Neill try and get them attacking (and risk leaving gaps)
Bielsa has to introduce Pablo and go for the vital 2nd goal. Has Pablo 45 minutes in him?

He will probably wait but Iam sure he has 45 mins in him, he is 35 not 65
