Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Determination got us the goal, if Burnley equalised I wouldnt have been surprised or felt hard done.
Felt like everything went down the left, not sure if that was forced by Burnley. What formation did we actually play, it didnt look standard Leeds.

    Wrong game bro

Nearly there, just doing a bit of reading and such about our time out of the Premier League, tumultuous to say the least
    Managers since relegation from Premiership

    Kevin Blackwell
    Denis Wise
    Gary McAllister
    Simon Grayson
    Neil Warnock
    Brian McDermot
    Dave Hockaday
    Darko Milanic
    Neil Redfearn
    Uwe Rösler
    Steve Evans
    Gary Monk
    Thomas Christiansen
    Paul Heckingbottom
    The Goat

I honestly forgot a few names there, some real long shots, a lot of decent managers handed a poisoned chalice, beyond Bielsa, Grayson has been or most successful manager

Owners since relegation from premier league

    Krasner consortium
    Ken Bates
    GFH Capital
    Massimo Cellino
    Andrea Radrizanni

A lot of shady shenanigans undertaken during those years

    Hockaday, Milanic, Evans, Christianson, Heckingbottom.

Couldn't pick them out of a lineup now

I see Krasner is part of the administrators for Wigan now

Sounds like 16 years of bizzare dreams and nightmares. Burnley, Barnsley and Bradford trying to do us over at the same time. And Huddersfield are the match officials. :D

Dave Hockaday was hitting rock bottom. For me anyway.

Massimo Cellino made me want Ken Bates back

It really was. It showed an owner who showed absolutely zero respect to the club, the history of the club and the fans. It made us a laughing stock. Evans and Milanic weren't too far behind in that regard either but Hockaday was an absolute two fingers to everyone supporting the club from Cellino.

I think Hockaday was a shot at the cheap miracle.

But Evans was and is a crook and a laughing stock. Even if he was not the worst manager.

Oh no, that prize goes to D****S W**E.
I can't even bring myself to say his name, I really thought as a club we couldn't go any lower than letting Bates in, but then he reaches into the gutter and brings in that rat faced weasel.

Still to this day I just can't believe they let him near my club.
    Subhuman filth.

His name and that of Bates should be written out of our history..:mad:

Dark days alright, I remember their campaign to villify Gary Kelly over his wages, which Bates knew about and agreed when he took over. They turned Leeds fans against one of the most loyal players the club saw post Revie.

Though Gary Kelly's Facebook page suggests it hasn't got to him, he's fanatic about Leeds.

So this is interesting, the Bates bit. In theory I would share this opinion.

However, not sure if any of you have done the Stadium Tour with players liaison officer, Peter " Stix " Lockwood. He's a legend at Leeds, been there in some capacity for the guts of 60 years. You could listen to his stories all day but one of the things he is adamant about is that without Bates the club would have been lost.I first did the tour with him about 10 years ago ahead of a League One game against Portsmouth ( 3 all draw with Andy O'Brien scoring two own goals )

He told a story about one crucial meeting that was going downhill fast until Bates whipped out his cheque book and wrote a cheque for 3 Million to in Stix's own words " save our club ". Stix says that Bates asked omething like " Well Mr. Lorimer, how much do we need ? " and 3 Million was the answer.

Did the tour again this year before the Brentford game and asked him if he still thought the same all these years later and he stuck to his guns.

How Bates behaved once in control leaves a lot to be desired but maybe he deserves some little credit for stepping in with the dollars when it was most needed.

Just looking at the table - someone keep me honest.

WBA draw or lose today and we're promoted - right?

Correct. A point on Sunday and we've won the league. (Edit - unless WBA can claw back the 3 goal difference)

I can't see WBA or Brentford losing points. But I'll have to watch their games just in case. I don't want to find out we're promoted by a notification on my phone.

I couldn't care less how it happens.

I fancy Huddersfield to get a point this evening.

I was buzzing after the Swansea game, after last night I feel emotionally spent haha.

I'd love if its done and dusted before we set foot on the pitch Sunday.

Same, Swansea was euphoric but oddly numb after the match yesterday. Not sunk in yet at all.

I think it's partly to do with the way the games went, partly to do with the fact we're a bit of a wreck still waiting to be completely guaranteed promotion. Against Swansea we were probably thinking of a point being reasonable and three points being a brilliant result. As the game progressed we more or less felt we would have to settle for a point before Pablo stepped up. Against Barnsley we went ahead relatively early and were then on the rack for the rest of the game and felt like we escaped with the win.
Probably the difference between gatecrashing a party and helping yourself to the champagne versus sneaking off with a bottle when the host had their back turned! :P

If Huddersfield didn't need the points themselves they'd probably throw the game to ensure they didn't help Leeds. I used to work with a guy from there, he absolutely despised Leeds, and that seems to be pretty much the norm for their fans.

I'm sure there's lots of Leeds fans who don't like Hudds, but they'll be cheering them on right now

Absolutely. The local fans really don't seem to like Huddersfield either, it's obviously a Yorkshire thing, but I'd imagine they're all rooting for them right now.

WBA need two goals to prevent our promotion.

45 mins to destiny... Hopefully Huddersfield can do us a massive favour.

    But...

I think WBA are going to get a result in this match.
