If we'd signed Eze we wouldn't have signed Raphinha. I'm happier with Raphinha.

Joffy on the bench! Hope he gets a chance.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,007 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

I expect a win today but to be fair we could also lose 4-0

    Bench looks very light.

Palace yet to win a game without Zaha

    FFS!

    Get in

Jesus that was way too easy, let it continue

That was so quick. Make the space and hit it, so many times you see other teams take 3 touches and try bet a player then cross it and it comes to nothing

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭blaa85

That pitch looks like a nightmare to play on!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,541 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

    Should be 2-0 there now

That was lovely by Bamford bar the finish obviously
I was just texting someone that Cahill is there for the taking, he is half a yard off the pace

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,263 ✭✭✭Shlippery

Would be good to see Joe G / 'Joffy' get a run around!

Letting Palace back into this, need to up the tempo

Raphinha absolute baller. He has Cahill's number, he knows it and Cahill knows it :-D

Gonna be smiling at that nutmeg all day tomorrow. Run at Cahil, he will get another card

Yep, you could tell from the first few minutes that Cahill was in trouble, our style of play is a nightmare for him

Should really be three up. Hope we don't regret but don't think we will. Many more cards for Palace I think. They can't deal with much more of this.

    Raphinha immense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,913 ✭✭✭Hijpo

We really should be putting these away. 1-0 is excruciating. I like that we are controlled going forward, as a unit, and not just blasting it as fast as we can that causes bamford to be isolated.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,541 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Bamford must have thought he was offside

Frustrating 1-0, should if scored at least one more
Palace have been dreadful, can’t see them being as bad in the second half

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,947 ✭✭✭Ceist_Beag

Raphinha is unplayable tonight. That turn was just ridiculous! Should be three up alright

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,070 ✭✭✭purple hands

    Missing too many chances

Palace absolutely there for the taking

Raphina wont go this year or anything. He's good but not that good yet.

It is a thing of beauty

Excellent by Raphinha again, great awareness and positioning from Bamford.

Palace getting into the game a bit.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,007 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

Bamford started that move by pressing the full back
    Well done Bamford

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,070 ✭✭✭purple hands

    Phew

    Absolutely chuffed for Paddy.

Twice Bamford closed down on the wing. Then sprinted back to follow up, great effort in the few moments beforehand

Bamford has scored against all his former clubs this year, he steps up vs them IMO.

    Got one right anyway

    Got off there

Not sure if it’s the game or my hangover but this a hard game to watch, very poor

Passes and flow is starting to slow down, starting to take extra touches and delay passes. Slack passing starting to creep in a bit to.

I'd like to see a few changes now tbh.

Yea, Raphina look beat, some fresh legs needed

    Hopefully nothing serious for Kalvin

Legs looked very heavy the last 10-15 minutes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,007 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

Good win, Palace offered absolutely nothing though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,541 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Comfortable night, bar a very brief effort. Meslier could've sat on the couch beside me

Should have taken him off when he went down first

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,070 ✭✭✭purple hands

    That'll do nicely

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,183 ✭✭✭downthemiddle

A few things to take from tonight.
Struijk is not a natural finisher.
    Klich was much sharper.
We totally controlled the game with a much more mature performance.
    I've a mancrush on Raphina.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,947 ✭✭✭Ceist_Beag

A boring 2-0 win, how unlike Leeds! We did look tired but very comfortable all the same. Top half of the table is pretty sweet.
As an aside, the Fantasy football bonus points system is clearly flawed as it didn't have Raphinha in the top 5 points scorers tonight!

Thought Cooper had a very good game. Developing serious man-love for Rapha

Bamford post match are always great, really really nice guy.

What a brilliant interviewee Lord Bamford is, so refreshing and entertaining! I captained myself tonight ... Legend! :)

We made Palace look like a Sunday League side today. Never got a sniff of goal.

It's the most solid I've seen Cooper for a while. He's played alongside Struijk for the last few games, I wonder if it's a case of him having more confidence in his partner now?

Raphinha looks like he's going to be our most significant signing since Pablo. I now know why the Rennes fans were so p*ssed off.
