Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seems Kalvin has travelled with the squad.

He plays and I'd make us slight favourites. Their recent injury losses are much more significant than ours. No good though if Kalvin limps off after 15 mins and is a doubt for Wolves but you've got to trust the medical and coaching team on that.

Kalvin put up an Instagram post about 20 mins ago. I doubt he’s playing based on that anyway.

    Shackleton in for Kalvin

Would have rathered Shackleton in holding midfield, we've seen Struijk struggle here multiple times

Bielsa seems to be the only person that thinks Struijk at DM works.

Agreed. Not only has Struijk impressed recently at CD but why upset the blossoming partnership with Cooper?

Let's see how the game develops, it's possible this information is not reliable.

The lack of comma after holder had me confused. Thought he was saying Struijk would partner Ayling at the back. Then looking at the teamsheet with cooper included didn't help.

Didn't Dallas play DM at the end of the leiscter game? I thought he did alright too.

Edit - may have been vs Palace?

Bench shows how fortunate we are with our league position. That bench is so lightweight

Poor goal to give away. Poor pass from Meslier to Alioski.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,509 ✭✭✭Damo 2k9

Ayling shouldn't be playing CB, stands off people way too much. Both Cooper and Struijk have been solid in the last few weeks, beyond my why he didn't stick with it.

Arsenal are playing like Arsenal for the first time in about 5 games. Leeds are letting them.
    We miss Phillips.

I honestly thought that was a penalty, we dodged a bullet there

Not on the replay, he trips over the ground

    Never a pen. VAR works

Beaten on the near post. Meslier having a mare.

    Making Arsenal look world class

Still think a lot of has to do with the back 4 all over the place. Poor Struijk is lost in midfield, hasn't a clue which is no fault of his own.

I’d give him a bit of a break there, when a player is shooting from that close with power, it’s tough to stop
We are pure ****e today all over

Struijk needs to not be played in that position. Arsenal are pressing really well though, really forcing the errors and capitalising on them

Meslier not having a good game but that’ll happen every once in a while.

They are causing us trouble every time they get into our half in general.

Good opportunity for some of the young lads on the bench to get some time in the second half.

No urgency to the play at all today, we've just looked really sluggish and almost disinterested. Don't remember hearing Struijk's name mentioned at all, he's completely wasted in Kalvin's position. Bielsa is a genius, but it's the one thing that I, and probably most Leeds fans, fundamentally disagree with him on. Ayling needs to be moved back to his normal position too, he's not effective at all today in the centre of defence. But for me the most annoying thing is how the penalty was given away. We p*ss about with the ball around the box far too much for my liking, and the only surprise to me is how it hasn't cost us more penalties or goals.

So, will it be 2 stupid subs at half time?

Uninspiring subs at half time, Costa and Roberts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Free hit for Costa, he needs to at least show something here

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,016 Mod ✭✭✭✭whiterebel

Yep. He should have got the defence sorted at half time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,024 ✭✭✭10000maniacs

Has Meslier being training with Kiko this week? :pac:

    And not that...awful

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 5,015 Mod ✭✭✭✭GoldFour4

Sick of Costa. He wasn’t dependable in the championship and shouldn’t be near the pitch now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,509 ✭✭✭Damo 2k9

I can't f*cking stand Costa, every game he frustrates the life out of me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,024 ✭✭✭10000maniacs

4:0 Bielsa got it wrong today.
Costa FFS. That was Costas goal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,185 ✭✭✭championc

Any of the u23 subs would be better than Costs. Awful

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,016 Mod ✭✭✭✭whiterebel

Still playing Struijk in midfield. Beyond belief

Huggins on. He is the best of our U23's. Hopefully it is his bridge into the first team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,907 ✭✭✭Seathrun66

To get something back why aren't Hernandez or Gelhardt getting a go?

    Poor selectios from MB today.

    Well done Struijk

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,907 ✭✭✭Seathrun66

Struijk has located the net. Let's pressurise a shaky team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,024 ✭✭✭10000maniacs

4:1 .... Next goal wins LOL.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,003 ✭✭✭Carcharodon

Struijk has been threatening a goal for a while!

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,016 Mod ✭✭✭✭whiterebel

If Huggins normally plays LB for the U23s, why aren't we playing him there today?

Because Bielsa does what he wants, it never has to make sense, lol
