    Not defending anyway

Alioski needs to be taken off. We can't keep giving away moronic corners.

We’re giving them hope. They looked buried until their goal.

I really don't understand how we can continue to be utter rubbish at defending corners. Everyone knows it and yet we appear incapable of doing anything about it.
That said we're not getting Raphinha into the game at all, we need to try and get him on the ball more.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 5,023 Mod ✭✭✭✭GoldFour4

What a bit of business that Raphina signing was. Beautiful tidy finish

Thats a filthy challenge on Raphinha, disgraceful

Right in front of the referee, you have to wonder about refs!

They need some form of video assistance, maybe a ref with access to videos of incidents and help come up with a decision

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,076 ✭✭✭✭event

Bamford brilliant tonight, goal and assist.

Fulham leaving the foot in loads, that Reed chap is very dirty.

The tackle by Phillips in the build up was brilliant

I think they're tired and we'll pick them off in the last ten mins. 3-1 or 4-1 to us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,046 ✭✭✭10000maniacs

How did Harrison miss that? Not good enough.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,947 ✭✭✭Ceist_Beag

    Phillips has been superb tonight

Great to see Koch back at the end there.

Solid win. Not a fantastic performance overall but for the job done.

Fully deserved win, takes pressure off with the April run of fixtures

    He is outstanding.

Thats us safe anyway. Sky commentators were going on as if Fulham were man city. "Big opportunity missed tonight". I think they have won 4 games all year

Absolutely. MOM for me also. And how many more points would we have had he remained injury-free?

Llorente great also, almost doubling up on Kalvin's role at times. And he's a lad who's going to see several yellows over the next few seasons.

I think it was more that they had a chance to get out of the relegation zone tonight if they won.

I thought Meslier was outstanding as well!

Great win. I'd say we are close to having our strongest starting squad of the season, and the pressure will be off when facing Man U, City & Liverpool. Hoping for a decent win at one of those.

Meslier with two world class saves, actually won that game for us I think.

Yeah, he's looking like a serious bargain, especially considering he's still several years from what should be his peak.

Meslier has been exceptional for us, and he's still so young..
I just hope we can hang onto him.

Overall happy with the performance, I'd just like to see Raphinha take all the dead balls, I feel like he has the better delivery over Philips.

Meslier has been a revelation....his been one of our best players this season IMO

I'm a little sad that Sheff Utd isn't next week. Momentum would be nice and surely we'll win that. I'd also be very surprised if we didn't take a scalp in April.

Was hoping we would have no relegation issues by the time we got to those April fixtures and it seems to be the case now. A nice mid table finish is on the cards.

Rodrigo injured again, really feel for him. Think he could be a great addition when fully fit.

I think this is more of a longer lingering effect of Covid :(

Can now enjoy the remaining games without a knot in my stomach. Victor & Radz have plenty of time to source improvements for key positions.

Kalvin and Meslier tied for MOTM for me. Llorente very impressive but needs to stop swinging out of jerseys when defending set pieces. It will bite us at some stage

Hopefully the break gives Paddy some recovery time and Rodrigo gets back to full fitness. What a season

Cant go under the 1 ppg mark now, nice milestone to make. Wasnt even really looking back down the table, but nice to know there's an even less than slim chance that 6 teams would catch up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,214 ✭✭✭championc

It's been a remarkable season, with essentially a Championship squad. It's the sum of all parts that has been the key. Some have stepped up and really improved. Others will be squad players next season. Some have gained very valuable experience.

Just a few additions in the summer and with Bielsa at the helm, and we'll be up there next season for sure.

And I cannot see any of this squad wanting out at this stage.

Sad to see another one gone from that great era r.i.p

Great game to watch last night , a real 'get stuck in' kind. Meslier was brilliant for us, I really hope he is here for the long haul.
Finally the london jinx is broken

  • Registered Users, Subscribers, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47,343 ✭✭✭✭Zaph

Obviously we knew it was coming, but it's still a very sad day. When I was a kid Leeds were Allan Clarke and Peter Lorimer, and they're still probably my two favourite players ever. We've already lost so many from that team over the last year, it's just terrible to lose another one. It's safe to say that there'll never be another 15 year old playing for Leeds again, and it's probably unlikely his goal scoring record will ever be broken. A club legend in every sense of the word. RIP

Terrible news about Lorimer. Arguably Leeds United's best ever player. RIP.

Just a reminder of how good he was.
