Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My nerves were gone on Saturday, totally shot.

To the point where I disconnected from the matrix, retreated into a corner of the house and blubbered like a baby. All was lost.

30 mins later I pulled myself together, checked the scores and let out a primal roar of utter happiness.

    Then I got drunk...

Douglas out for the rest of the season with a knee injury

Douglas out for the rest of the season with a knee injury

It's a big blow as he offers something totally different as an option, especially with the run of games.

However, it speaks volumes for the squad (and young guns) that it can cope with this...

YEP put together an injury list..

It's absolutely incredible we're in the position that we are..!

Cross all fingers and toes that the next month is kind to us..

Birmingham and Preston next for both us and Sheffield Utd

Hopefully better, at least match, their results going into two winnable* home ties

The fúcking stress of this season, can't remember any like it

No such thing as a "winnable" game in the Championship....see QPR!

The stress is mad though...actually not sure I can cope if we don't go up automatically :o

Still massively enjoyable, and whatever happens, I can't emphasize how much I hope Bielsa sticks around

Villa game moved to sunday 28th at 12 noon , serious nuisance if anyone traveling from Ireland.

I also hate early games , sat 17:30 would have been perfect

    I got stung.
To stay and extra night and book flight for Monday is extra 200

Might wait until Monday and see if I can get a ticket before deciding

Flights booked for the Villa game. Serious gamble this one. It could be season over (in a good or a bad way) or everything to play for.

Brum have lost five on the bounce.

And then Leeds roll into town...

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,261 ✭✭✭Shlippery

    Here we go again..

    1-0
    0-1

Going to be one of those days, they just can’t get right

How many times this season did we have to be nudged into action by the opposition scoring?
    I seriously can't remember a game where we didn't.
How many games were we losing at some stage? That suggests we are not the full package yet.
Birmingham lost their last five games yet they are finding us easy meat for picking today.

No where near the full package, this team would get slaughtered in the premiership, a lot of weak links in the team, everyone is just looking at Hernandez to do something
Bamford has been poor, looks like a lost puppy at times

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 621 ✭✭✭Slim Charles

About to make final two changes, you can bet your mortgage Leeds will get an injury straight after.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,024 ✭✭✭10000maniacs

Jesus its all too easy for Birmingham.
    We are ****e today.
Sheffield United back in control for second.

Can just tell Birmingham will get battered by Sheff Utd next game out

Terrible performance although Bamford should have scored 3 goals. I am not convinced by him at all, he was awful today.

    We are in trouble now.

I agree, I think I said a while back on here that a lot would depend on Bamford, I honestly thought after a few games back that he would kick on and start scoring goals, nice simple goals to finish off some of our dominance in games.
Just not happening for him, he looks very sloppy and lackluster at times

Bamford strikes me as a confidence player and if he gets an early miss then things can deteriorate badly for him. Reading reports, he should have had at least three or four goals in the last couple of matches, which would have kept us well placed. Hopefully they can rebound back straight away at Preston, but there is something very unconvincing about the team.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,496 ✭✭✭quarryman

Kinda want to cancel my flights for the villa game now...

Been here before ......we usually do bounce back , only a point behind , no need to panic

Definitely will be a few more twists and turns but it is very frustrating to watch at times, easier said than done but that little bit of killer instinct up front and we could sitting pretty right now.
Some games I watch with Ayling and Alioski, I actually think they were both on an all night bender before the game, they look so bad, next game they look fantastic

This is it guys, our FA cup final. although I can't see Sheffield United slipping up and relinquishing second place.
West Brom in meltdown, what has happened to them? They are doing a Leeds.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,024 ✭✭✭10000maniacs

Bamford 30 yards out and loads of space, Shoots. FFS.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,289 ✭✭✭stryker mcqueen

I'd be shocked to see Harrison start the second half , we have been wasteful , playing OK but the final killer ball is lacking , even pablo looks sluggish

    Bamford again, 2-0!

West Brom staging a bit of a fight back, 3-2 down now.

Hopefully a bit of pressure is put on Sheffield United with tonight's result.
    Come on Brummies.

Cannot for the life of me understand how Harrison gets a place in the team. Many other players have had dips and rises in form this season, but c'mon!!

Did not enjoy it at all until about the 90th minute :pac:

    Good man Bamford.

I'm really unable to enjoy this past couple of weeks, my nerves are shot! I'm sure there are a few more twists yet before it's all done, please please Brummies do us a favour this evening.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,261 ✭✭✭Shlippery

Surely Garry will do us a solid and destroy Sheffield.....surely.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,207 ✭✭✭maximoose

Not hoping for much from Birmingham later.

I can see Sheff dropping points in the next 3 though, Millwall / Forest / Hull

We just got to keep winning and keep the pressure on.

I thought I was the only one, he looks like the most average player out there every time, He can be beat and tidy but for the most part doesn’t offer too much in my opinion, it has baffled me all year that he is always picked.

I'd say their training consisted of rolling on their backs and getting tickled. That's how much hope I have of them getting a result of some sort tonight.

There'll be more ups and downs, that's for sure.

Birmingham aren't out of the relegation mix yet, but have some very favourable remaining fixtures after tonight. Would expect them to target those instead.
