Who could have predicted this page being so quiet before such a huge game .....the joys of being a leeds fan.

Anyway I predict a leeds win , pablo with a motm performance and pontus back to his best

Not as big due to the results really.

    And you've jinxed it :D

Villa don’t look too bothered. They’ll take a smash and grab here. And if not, doesn’t matter to them. Leeds need a comprehensive win here to get confidence back for the playoffs. Not seeing where it’s gonna come from. Badly missing Roofe.

Awful game to watch. Not helped by a ref that is very friendly to Jack Grealish:D.

Yeah, there's no penetration up front at all. A few wayward long range shots aren't going to trouble Villa. Regardless of whether we go up or not, I think an extra striker has to be a priority over the summer. Bamford really doesn't have what it takes to cause defences problems on a consistent basis.

Well taken goal, but Hourihane should be sent off.

Play to the whistle, 2 year olds kicking a ball in the garden know it. It's unfortunate, but to attack a player who may not have known any issue is unacceptable.

Hourihane and Villa players went for him.

But good to see them all on their feet for once.

One of the most nuts end to a game:rolleyes:

Poor form by Bamford. Stupid by so ghazi to swing, but bit mad.

    This is fun

Bamford what a disgrace he is. Never want to see him in an Ireland shirt

True. They have usually been off it hacking down Villa players. Disgraceful stuff and defense of it is actually funny.

Look at McGinn there. He's lost it.

Grealish dives at every opportunity, he's a cheat.

Lol McGinn slipped into the tackle. Grealish hacked down all game and whinge about it just cos it's Grealish, take the easy way out rather than just try a hit harder to win the ball.

Not sure what point are making about Grealish.

He and other Villa players were cheating and diving all match, hence the ref getting so much stick from Leeds players at half time.

Then Villa lost the plot after an unfortunate incident.

But you're entitled to disagree and turn a blind eye, s'all about opinions...

A blind eye? lol Nice divertion into it being an opinion. Grealish being fouled all day, actual stonewall fouls, not the stuff you're making out.

'Unfortunate incident', thats one way of putting it. Cheating to a goal is another way.

Kicking the ball out because some idiot is faking injury is nonsense. Leeds should never have given them the goal.

He went off injured, had to be subbed.

We don't know if Klich saw the Villa player who fell over.

After all, it was hard to keep up with all the Villa players falling.

After watching villa players drop from snipers all day I wouldn't be kicking anything out. Hope this ends up as the play off final, would be a great watch.

Ya you said that already a few times. Doesn't make it anymore true

But I suppose this is how you can get for throwing away automatic promotion over the last month.

Roberts stopped to kick it out....and then didn't. Klich isn't blind either.

I'm surprised there's an argument. Is this just to be obtuse or what? It's incredibly blatant. Had very little qualms against Leeds before today, great to watch all season.

Be some laugh if these two meet in the play offs. John Terry mouthing off on the bench.

Dead rubber but plenty to talk about it.

No harm in the end you’d imagine - red card will be appealed and rescinded more than likely.

Bad form on balance of things to play on for the goal but let Villa equalize which should be the end of it.

Will be some game if Leeds v Villa in Wembley

I'm surprised you and listermint have taken a break from telling everyone on the Villa thread what scum Leeds are, and are now whining here to defend Villa's cheating.

But life is full of surprises I guess. Anyway, game over, handshakes all round, Grealish has walked off and not fallen over so it's all good.

That was ****ing brilliant ....skip the semis and just make that the final ....sky will cream themselves with the build up.

Play to the whistle and all that , leeds didn't stop and villa stupidly did .....Marcelo comes out of it all smelling of roses .

Villa are a very good side , I hope WBA do them over the 2 legs if I'm honest but it'll be some final against them if we get past our semi

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,434 ✭✭✭Lamper.sffc

I personally feel players should not put the ball out. It should be the refs decision and his alone to stop a game.

That being said Im glad we gave them the goal because I just didnt want to listen to the media go to town on Leeds and all that moral bvllsh1t again.
It would have taken the focus away from the football and we dont need that.

This way it will be talked about for 24 hours and then gone.

You swore and said Leeds were "dirty bellends". A 2 second search shows that in the past you called Leeds fans "mouthy dirt birds".

And now you're here trying to get a reaction after Grealish and other Villa players rolled around for 90 minutes. Villa got a draw because a bench with Bielsa has far more class and integrity than John Terry and co.

Actually agree with this. But you can't stop and feign as if you're about to put the ball out but then decide to play a through ball anyway when everyone has stopped thinking the ball has gone out. If Leeds had just gone up and scored straight off I don't think anyone would have had too many legitimate complaints, other than that Villa had put it out for a Leeds player shortly previous.

Well technically you can, it isn't against the rules. But Bielsa absolutely did the right thing in what he did.

Havnt watched the goal back but thats fair enough to a degree.
At the end of the day players shouldnt stop playing until ref says so. Anyway correct decision by Bielsa. We move on.

Leeds being classy as usual. Hope they are nowhere near the premiership next season.

Is it just the PL that hands out bans for what Bamford did? Hopefully not because he deserves his 2 match ban for that rubbish

Nothing to do with Leeds tbh and everything to do with twat footballers who dive and feign injury

Only Leeds would score that goal too. So Bamford should be banned from the 1st game of the playoffs. Hopefully the FA up it to 3 games.

    :) OK

Name another team that has? Arsenal years ago but that shocked everyone so much that we haven't seen it until today. Thankfully Beilsa is the only bit of class at the club, even one of the players tried to stop them scoring.Anyway karma won't see them anywhere near the PL next season and Belisa will be off somewhere else.

Fūckin love seeing opposition fans in here looking for trouble. It’s a great sign.

While some of the Leeds players didnt look to good today its unfair to tar them all with the same brush. Its modern football. Every club has its gobsh1tes unfortunately.

Well done to Bielsa on his very sporting act too.

Klich the guy that scored acted like a bit of a d1ck to be honest (in fairness he did apologise to the Villa manager after the match). Jannson appeared to be trying to stop the Villa player against his managers orders.

Roberts didnt cover himself in glory at the Villa kickout either

Not sure what Kilch could have done differently. He was played through, the ref had not blown to stop play. He would have been criticised if he had NOT took the opportunity.
