Alp d'Huez holiday August 2017 --- anyone interested??

    Hi all!

    I'm in the process of booking a cycling holiday to Alp d'Huez in August. I am aiming to be there from the 21st to the 31st.

    I will fly from Dublin to Lyon and then get a bus transfer. AirBnB seems the most affordable/logical means of accommodation. I will be travelling solo I imagine but if anyone is interested in tagging along for some of these dates then I am open to that...... no crazies ;)

    Also, if anyone has done a similar trip to Alp d'Huez in the past I would love to hear some advice and suggestions.

    I'd love to go again but not going to happen again this year.

    We stayed in Chalet Ribot, maybe a little more expensive than a typical AirBNB or campsite but worth it if it's affordable.

    I'll be there the week before you on a family holiday.

    We are staying in Le Bourg D'Oisans which is right below d'Huez.

    I can highly recommend these guys http://vacansoleil.ie/ if you get a few bodies together to spread the cost. I used them last year to stay in Lourdes and got the Tourmalet done.

    This year I'm aiming for d'Huez, Galibier and whatever else I can get away with....
