have this franchi sporter its a serious nice shotgun. problem i have with it is i have only 2 chokes full and cylinder.

the chokes for the gun were made for 2 years and discontinued back in 2007, cant find them anywhere!

any man woman or child know of someone that could alter existing chokes or make me new ones. teague in the uk dont want to know

Try Benelli chokes..Apprently post 1998 guns will work with a Benelli Mobil choke system. Thats according to the US makers of Carlsons chokes.:)

thanks grizzly, i was onto benelli in the us during the week the mobil wont fit the choke is related to optima hp but bore size is different.

was out in hh and one gent mentioned a tom egan in carlow, anyone have any info

Tom Egan from Carlow, is probably Jap Engineering Tobinstown , don't know anything about his gunsmith work but for complex gear cutting etc , he is excellent

Tried all them. Optima, ciro and mobil chokes none fit. It takes a funny aul choke

Sorry for going over this, but when you said 'tried them all' did you mean actually fitting them or by chance are you just going off the 'look and style' as seen on the web sites.

I say this because I changed out the original extended chokes that came with my Baikal semi auto with flush mounted ones.

My extended chokes are similar to yours while the replacement ones are completely flush to the muzzle.

Yeah went down to john conroy in laois he had a box full of chokes and not one would fit
