I never usually reply to these posts recommending a spec as I'm lazy.

I would recommend a Ryzen 5 1600 with a RX 570 and then fast ram and B350 motherboard.

I know it is not a great post but that is a overview of what I recommend and just price them all yourself.

£717.64 = €811.12. You were probably about 10 Conservative seats in the election from getting this for under €800. :D
    * If any of the non Amazon retailers don't deliver to Ireland you can always use Parcel Motel at €3.95 an item, used them a few times in the last month or two and they're really good.

Ryzen 1600 is probably the best value CPU out there at the minute, will do excellent on gaming where it is level with an i5 right now but should last longer due to having 6 cores and 12 threads (i5 is 4/4) - also because of this if you ever use the computer for anything else like editing, rendering, streaming etc it is a good deal better to an i5. It comes with it's own cooler and can overclock out of the box (Intel units will only do one or the other), which you might have no interest in but who knows... a few years down the line that could easily change and you should probably get a good 5+ years from this. As well as that, AMD update their chipsets less regularly than Intel (who basically do it every year) which means if you do upgrade in 3/4 years you will have a decent chance of not needing to also but a new motherboard.

GTX 580 8GB is definitely in ym opinion the best value GPU card out there - it's also absolute gold dust right now because bitcoin miners buy them non sotp. If I were you I would buy this pretty much as soon as you read this post or it will likely be gone in a day or two. That said if you do miss out, a GTX1060 6GB costs about the same and is also an extremely good card - so switch them over if you can't get the RX 580 8GB and you're still golden.

Ryzen chipsets need at least 2666mhz to really perform so I put you on 2800 since it's pretty much the same cost. I wasn't able to get you to 16GB within budget, but RAM is always easy to buy a second stick of in future if you want more oomph (right now 8GB is absolutely plenty for gaming)... if you do get a second stick in future, best to go with the same frequency and even make/model just to be sure they communicate well with each other.

SSD for a really nice, fast system and a 1TB HDD for the games. I like the look of that case personally, but any case marked 'MATX' or 'ATX will work fine for you and it's pretty subjective, so take a look around!

Can anyone give a second opinion on the PSU? I'm pretty sure it's good and solid (non modular means a bit more of hassle with wires but I built a non modular one two weeks ago - they're fine, just tie up the loose/unused ones with cable ties and it's not really an issue) and Bronze+ efficiency is ok, but others here would know more than me about PSUs so best to be sure I haven't missed anything!

Let's start with the easiest, you left out a copy of Windows. Can use Windows 10 unregistered with the watermark or looks like £49 right now on amazon which is unusually cheap.

The motherboard has only 2 ram slots so there is no option to put in dual channel ram and upgrade later and it seems to make a significant difference in the minimum frame-rates for witcher. A board with 4 slots and 2*4GB dimms would be better.

They say no overclocking so may as well stick with 2666MHz ram (all the more reason to go dual channel), never mind you really need to hit 2933MHz to get a benefit anyway (best I can still tell).

I hate the 120GB ssd + 1TB combo but trying to get that cpu+gpu in to €800 is rough.

You mention the rx580 problem yourself but the gtx1060 is easy enough to find.

    PSU should be ok.
