Battlefield skins

Sorry a bit clueless here, can anyone explain the point of getting the skins from Battlepacks etc? Is there any point in keeping them or best sell them for scraps? Im obviously missing something obvious here as all I want to do is better my weapons. Cheers

They are just cosmetic changes only to your weapons and vehicles. They make no difference to the game. I generally scrap them all and then buy battlepacks where you might get something useful.
