Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

North Wales recommendations?

I am looking at staying a few days around the North of Wales in August of this year and was wondering if anyone familiar with the area could offer any recommendations? I'd be looking for a place which is near a beach, has some interesting sights to see, availability of accommodation and has reasonably good nightlife (i.e. pubs and other places to mingle). It would be nice to have somewhere with a mix of visitors and locals. Any suggestions?

Years since I've been and was only a teenager so can't comment on nightlife but Llandudno is quite nice. Seaside town with Snowdonia not too far if you're driving.

Thanks. Yes, Llandudno was one place I was thinking of, I would like to know more about it alright. I've driven through Colwyn Bay direction on my way to and from Holyhead but didn't really spend any significant amount of time there so was hoping to get some information if there's anyone on here who knows the area. I'd does look nice though...

I know you said about wanting a beach, but Betws y Coed is the jewel of north Wales in my opinion. Caernarfon is nice as well.

I have a guide book on it alright, it sure is a lovely looking place. I'd definitely take a spin out there at the very least. Caernarfon does indeed look nice. I was in Trearddur Bay for a week while I was about 6 or 7 though I don't really remember much about it. Perhaps a bit small for me now though looking at it...
