Yeah very happy as a first timer got under 5 hours...
Logistical nightmare but well worth the effort,
Race didn't go as planned I had serious digestion problems and only managed to force 1 banana down and 1 gel!
Croagh Patrick was game changer with the descent as bad as the ascent but I was possibly too cautious as I was carrying a few knocks...
Bike took a hammering on the off road sections jaysus wouldnt have rode my mtb over the section after Croagh Patrick...(i took the good bike in the end with a compact upfront but would have managed it on 53/39)
A few aches and pains but delighted to have finished.:cool::D
Scenery when i got the chance to take it in was amazing...
Oh and suffered on the row for some reason but think I went a bit hard on the first run...but possibly just seen the 1km distance and thought it was gonna be easy too....
