Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Quick question,

Hoping someone with personal/anecdotal experience can be of assistance.

With regards to the vetting process has anyone who has never lived outside of Ireland themselves but has relatives outside of Ireland (UK & NI) had an exceptionally long wait for vetting to be cleared?

Just wondering if I can expect it to be finished in time for the November intake?

I have never lived outside of Ireland and I have two aunts and a sister living in the UK. My vetting seemed to take the same amount of time as everyone elses.

To put it in perspective, I completed my physical in February and got an offer in March which I deferred. If I remember correctly my meetings with the local station was around the November/December period.
I'm not exactly sure when the vetting process starts but my guess is after the interview which would have been October for me.
Hopefully this gives you an idea but I didn't notice any major time delays with the UK vetting of relatives. :)
