Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nice side Hughton has put together at Brighton. Good combination of skill and steel. They should be fine this year, far worse sides in the league.

Watched them last week and they were very poor at home to an equally poor everton

Its not the stadium at all, its the players that don't do the club any favours.

If the players aren't doing their job then it's the managers fault.

It's not always the managers fault.

Can the manager be blamed for Joe Harts mistake for the second goal or Zabaleta's rash challenge to give away a penalty for the third goal?

Don't forget Pelligrino (sp) at Soton. Bilic talks a good game at the pundits table but his West Ham have never been more than fitfully good, and they wilt under very little pressure.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see West Ham where Sunderland are this time next year.

Pretty rotten right now. Gambling on big names on the last stretch of their career rather than youth is proving to be a costly mistake.

The stadium situation hasn’t helped. The owners are toxic though.

West Ham fans fighting amongst themselves in the stands. Really toxic atmosphere there.

In every year that Brighton are doing OK it appears that at least two managers get sacked after losing to them. Could dig through the NSC archives to find out exactly who but I remember it happening back to 1999.

Brighton's highest finishing position ever was 13th in the top tier in 81/82; not much point comparing early enough league positions due to the potential to be first from first day results (Huddersfield, for instance) but there is a chance of breaking that this year. And a chance of crashing back down to the Championship of course.

Out of curiousty which premier league managers under the most pressure this weekend? (Hint: Wenger 20 on the list, so other 19 places up for grabs 😂.

Koeman must be under the most pressure. A loss to Arsenal and I can see the Everton fans turning on him in a big way.

Another guy who looks in a bad spot is Eddie Howe. Bournemouth only have 4 points on the board and they're away to Stoke tomorrow. If they lose that and Palace beat Newcastle, they will go bottom. He's done well at the club overall but we've seen in the past how little that counts when chairmen start to panic. That game with Stoke is a big one for him.

no way will Eddie Howe be sacked by Bournemouth. If they go down, he will go down with them and still will be sought out.
Bournemouth don't seem like that type of club and the only thing the fans are worrying about is if he leaves himself next season.

There last 6 games have included City who scored in the 97th minute to beat them, Spurs away who they lost by a mere goal, Arsenal who beat them with ease, Everton away who needed 2 late enough goals to beat them. The other 2, a draw against Leicester and a win against Brighton were results you would be judged on.

The Watford result seemed bad at the time but Watford have shown themselves to be a decent side so not embarrassing defeat.

They have a nice little run coming up until mid December and I would be very surprised if they are in the relegation zone by time they meet Utd.

The same could be said of Everton but losing games, even difficult games put them under a lot of pressure in the games they should be winning. If you have a bad start, regardless of who you're playing it's not easy to recover from. I guess it shows how significant the fixture list can be.

Yeah their away form has been fantastic, and Chelsea have been rubbish at the Bridge so far.

Plenty of centre mid injury concerns for Chelsea so hard to see them being defensively solid, hence why attack probably best form of defence for them right now.

Reckon it could be a 4-2 type scoreline.

Richarlison the most exciting new addition to the league, he could pose a big threat today.

Koeman has spent a he'll of a lot more than Howe, is managing a club with much much higher ambitions, (one of only 5 teams that has been in the PL since it began, regular top 6), the club doesn't owe him as much loyalty as Bournemouth does to Howe, the board structure is different and, most importantly, the performances and results on paper are much more worrying than that of Bournemouths.

Very open game, good on the eye so far.

For me definitely Chelsea's best front 3, Pedro a more intelligent player than Willian imo.

Really enjoyable game, both teams good on the ball but Watford just being a small bit outclassed. Should be more goals in it.
