Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's a deserved equaliser for watford.

    Spurs
Bakayoko so static there, just watched it instead of making an effort to close him down. Poor anticipation.

Was a well taken goal actually. Looked like a hit and hope at first but that was nice.

Fancy Watford to take all 3 points here.

Unreal. Between his two and the Fabregas balls in the first half this could be a big score.

    Crystal Palace
That’s another shocking miss. They could rue that now, let Chelsea off the hook.

So how good are Watford? They've looked like world beaters on a couple of occasions already this season.

    Man City
Rudunger should be well sent off by now... the ref is having a homer.

Marco Silva is a really good manager and will be interesting to see where he ends up after Watford.

Will he wait til 2029 for Wenger to leave Arsenal?

Would you have him? It'd be a gamble but I think he's got it.

    Spurs
Alonso has been a passenger. Their wing backs were such a factor last year but not making that impact this season, possibly opposition more equipped to deal with it now.

    Arsenal
I don't think the crowd are helping getting on the players backs every misplaced pass.

Maybe missing their midfield powerhouse is causing them to stay back a bit more than they used to without his cover?

Ha I really wouldn’t be surprised if he was still there then.

Yeah I’d probably take him alright, but I’d have anyone apart from Wenger at the moment.

They seem to have a very good mentality, in so far as they don't seem to panic

How many times have they came back now to earn points late on. Liverpool, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Swansea, West Brom.

3 or 4 of those games involving goals into stoppage time!

Many other teams would lie down but they seem to have a lot of courage, and as much as Deeney shouldn't have been mouthing off last week, you have to say, at the minute, Arsenal are the complete antithesis of Watford in this respect. Maybe that is what has been instilled in the squad's psyche. This "don't be intimidated" approach. And pick yourself up and don't panic.

Even after being destroyed by City and then going an early goal down to Swansea they still didn't drop their heads, equalised in second half and won it in injury time away from home.

They also, of course have a few decent players and play in yellow!! :D

EDIT: They just conceded as I wrote this and will probably lose 5-2 now, totally disregarding everything I have said!!

But I still think what I said is a fair assessment in general

Was he having a go at the crowd there with his celebration.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

Very good header, but Watford had three players around him before the cross came in. All caught ball watching.
