Iniesta is still at, or near, the top of his game.

Aguero looks so much less effective the last couple of years. Pep favoured Jesus for a reason last season, I think in the big games this season he'll be better off doing the same again this season. Form and current ability should, and will, come before reputation by the end of the season.

Na I crossed out the Iniesta part as it has no relevance (your point was completely true btw). Your no words/speechless remark is that part I reference as it applies here.

Aguero had a bit of a torrid time last season with injury and suspensions, but from February on he was absolutely sensational.

There's actually only a handful of games if that when both were available that Jesus was picked to start. Swansea, West Ham and Leicester late enough in the season. They played considerably more together than they played to keep each other out of the starting XI. So I dunno where you're getting that.

Spurs won't have it all their own way but they should just shade it, 2-1.

    Kyle Walker Peters??

He's like an upgrade on Kyle Walker, with a bit of Martin Peters thrown in.
He actually played in 5 games in the U20s recently.

    M. Dembele is a quality player, makes the midfield tick

Really poor tackle from Kane there. Refs usually take a dim view on that scissor action.

If that had been Shelvey it would be red.

Same ol Spurs no urgency or cutting edge. Waiting for something to happen rather than making it happen. Where is Eriksen

What must be going through your head do do something like that..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Shelvey was totally braindead there. Yes, Alli can be the sort to wind you up. But to do that, right under the ref's nose. Christ.

Remarkable how there are a few Liverpool heads who think he'd have come good.

    Great save.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,797 ✭✭✭✭JPA

I reckon he was attempting to wind Alli up to get him to do something stupid, doing it under the refs nose wasn't the smartest move though.

Spurs will score in about 15 minutes and score another in injury time, Sissoko off, terrible player.

I thought the Arsenal game was great and I don't think the defending was as bad as was being made out. There was some great crosses put in. The Liverpool game was a much poorer standard. I'd rather watch a couple of organised teams who know how to defend than watch a 3-3 between teams who are just negligent defensively. But then I do like a good political drama compared to a comedy.

Will be a good start for Spurs but they were struggling to put it all together before the red card. Dembele fantastic though.

We were looking good with 11 v 11 but it fell apart completely when Shelvey decided to act like a clown.

Spurs have been the better team no doubt about it but they've not looked that spectacular.

Wouldn't read too much into their win against a team given very little backing in the window.

Sky's desperation for content has given Mike Ashley a platform to say he doesn't actually want a club while clasping his hands for 30 minutes. Sadly he didn't swallow a pint in one mouthful at the end.

Defo needs to see a long ban for that one, it was sickening seeing the way the neck moved with the blow in the replay..

Few of the guys in the United thread were saying he'd do very well with the hammers this year. Looks like he's off to a good start.
