Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    No

Niass got a ban for something similar

Niasse won a penalty, Ayew did not. You have to win a penalty or get the opponent sent off in order to be banned.

It has to be a "good" dive basically, Ayews was not

So basically, the punishment isn't for diving, it's for the referee being a thick?

Its for "deceiving the match officials"

Cheating is cheating so all instances should be looked at regardless of whether the ref gets it right.
A player who dives and gets caught may get a yellow at worst.
A player who dives and wins a pen or gets an opponent sent off may get a future ban. That's still of no benefit of the team who were cheated on.

Reckon West Brom could be on the end of the biggest hiding of the season today. They're an absolute mess right now. Spurs to score 6+

Sacked manager always throws a random element into these situations. Something I should have remembered when including Spurs in my weekend acca...

Spurs 0-1 West Brom at the moment.

Watford's impressive goal scoring away from home continues. Newcastle on the other hand can't buy a goal.

Yeah West Brom completely parked the bus after early goal.

Lloris again poor for the goal, should have closed it down. He's been spurs' weak link this season. Too many silly mistakes in him, don't think his occasional moments of brilliance make up for it.

Too long left in the games to get giddy yet. Dont utd get a high percentage of their goals in the last 10-15 minutes of games? We shouldn't rely on our rivals screwing up; it's up to us to take care of business.

That being said, it would be extremely bad mannered of me to turn down draws at Wembley, OT and Anfield!
    ;)

Which side would you prefer to see winning at Anfield?

If there had to be a winner (and I'd prefer the draw!), then it'd have to be Liverpool, as I don't consider them serious rivals. Not with that defence. We know only too well from last season how much of a millstone around your neck that can be

Told you. Stuffy deflection at OT apparently.

Burnley in the top 4 if they win tomorrow. Due a bit of luck against arsenal after how the 2 games last season panned out.

Everton are going from "top 6" to relegation in a matter of months.

Unsworth has managed to make them even crapper. The defending for that third Southampton goal was a joke.

Looking very grim £135m spent over the summer, will the owner be willing to give a new manager even more to try and keep them up?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Just shows how coaching trumps players - or rather how easy it is to make good defenders look terrible.

Everton looking awful again today. Massive week coming up for them with games at home to West Ham and Huddersfield.

A competent manager should get them to safety easily.

They're an awful lot better than 6 of the bottom 10.

    No money required.

Wasn't he the academy manager before hand? He seemed to do well developing Kenny, Davies, Beningame, Calvert-Lewin, Holgate, Lookman etc. The senior job is clearly well beyond him and isnt doing him OR the players any good.

Calvert Lewin, Holgate & Lookman were all playing first team football elsewhere before signing for Everton.
Unsworth can't be credited with developing them.

An early goal (for us, obviously!) would be ideal. Force Huddersfield out of their shell. Leave some free space for us to exploit.
