Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He was in the dressing room before the game on Wed apparently.

He may well have been, but he didn't work all week with them in training or pick the team. I'm sure them trying to impress the new gaffer played a role but you can't really chalk them being in the 10th up to him at this stage haha. Game by game, he's off to a good start though.

In terms of talent, Sam's been the best English manager for quite some time, all the best to him and everton.

If he gets a result next weekend at Anfield, the Evertonians will love him.

Ddg has made the second most saves (54)in the league only fabianski has made more. Considering utd have the best defensive record its a remarkable statistic. He is an unbelievable keeper always surprises me why top class keepers are not valued higher in the game.

Who doesnt value top class keepers
Look at Liverpool they constantly say they need a top class keeper
Theres a reason Juventus smashed the record to get Buffon back in the day

Keeper is the position that stands out the most when you drop a few levels and makes you really appreciate just how good the top ones are.

If you watch for example an African Nations Cup or Women's world Cup it's always the most glaring position for basic errors.

Don’t even need to go that far away, just look at some of the standard in League 1&2.. it’s shocking

Not even that far Sunderland vs Millwall a few weeks back shows the standard is bad in championship.

On Liverpool a lot would say splash out money on new defenders when infact a better keeper would improve them more. That's not to say they don't need some new defenders. I'd class goalkeeper as one of if not the most important position in a team but I don't think that is reflected in general in transfer fees paid. Teams can get away with the odd average outfield player but you can't get away with an average goalkeeper.

City face the hammers at home, hammers to take a surprise lead only for city to end up smashing them with a couple of Joe Hart specials thrown in for good measure, 5-2.

Moyes already looks a broken man on the sideline and it's only his 3rd/4th game in charge he will be gone before the end of the January transfer window.

Young Rice is having a very decent game.

West Ham holding out, just about. Get the feeling that one Man City goal will result in the flood gates opening.

Not think they'll give him one window at least? Wonder how West Ham would cope with relegation from a financial perspective. That new stadium must be costing them a pretty penny. Passed by it yesterday and it is very impressive from the outside. A world away from the Boleyn ground.

Harshly carded early on and then Otamendi gets away with a more cynical one. Dean really is an awful ref.

After he brings in Anichebe, Pienaar, and Lescott.

Same stuff was happening in last 2 city games aswell. Bizarre.

City have actually been very cynical a few times this season when teams threaten to counter. And then they b**ch about other teams being too defensive.

Have been well impressed with young Rice.

Ireland need to cap him very soon(Before England pounce) and throw him in with Duffy and starting the defence around the young players

On the keeper of course Niall Quinn would have saved it.

    Nonsense!

Chilavert would have scored it from outside the box - no measly "cross" necessary.

Because he plays for a top six club.

Young lad has the ability to be an England international from what I've seen.

Nah, sometimes a side has the wind at its back to such an extent that they'll bluster their way through anything and that's what's happening with City this season, with uniteds defensive frailties highlighted yesterday, even De Gea won't be able to save us against city.

    Glazers Out!
