Why would Silva leave Watford (comfy in mid table) for a potential relegation scrap with West Ham? And anyway, Watford wouldn't let him go. They basically to Everton to f*** off when they came calling.

The London sides usually get off lightly during the christmas periods compared to their northern couterparts.

Given the amount of sides in and around London in the PL, travelling isnt much of an issue as you've an increased chance of games in the capital.

Spurs had the choice of play on NYE or Thursday night.

If they played on NYE the Wembley attendance was being restricted to 41000 so they went for the Thursday night game leaving them playing 3 games in 5 days

Beating Chelsea certainly helps.
We did do well against Man City but it's the games against the lower sides that'll make or break our season. We've had great results under Bilic against the bigger sides only to fcuk up against the lower sides.
