Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Good goal from Jese.

    Good goal.

Not sure why Arsenal persist with Monreal at cb especially the central cb.

Bojan, Crouch & Glen Johnson are warming up. If it were 2009 Arsenal would be worried.

    Wow Arsenal were dreadful

You'd have to fear for them getting a top 4 place this season with the lack of big investment

Just realised what a piss easy run of games Man Utd have got for the start of this season. A bit like City last season.

I did the Wembley tour last week and I really was shocked to see the the grass was being cut by two lads with hand pushed petrol lawnmowers.

Newcastle haven't shat themselves. If they can be stable they may have an ok season.

    Huddersfield look good.

It matters quite a bit - high cut and dry = terrible ball speed along the ground. Heck Big Sam said he doctored the WHL pitch esp for Liverpool's visit a couple of years back.

Aaron Mooy is classy. I was saying that he was a great buy for City when the got him a year ago and they sent him off on loan to Huddersfield and now he is there full time. I thought he would be perfect for a Pep's type of play.

Anyways great finish from him there to put Huddersfield up 1-0 and heading for six points after two games.

Come on huddersfield! 45 years waiting on that goal, hope they hammer Newcastle now and stay up with Bournemouth and Brighton

Well it's clear that no one can stop 'uddersfield Town.

I can't believe there's no FA rule on pitch size and grass length. You'd think every pitch would have to be the exact same for fairness sake.

Spurs wanted to change the pitch markings at Wembley to have the same dimensions as WHL but the FA wouldn't let them.

    Just looked it up now;

That is a very "friendly" set of fixtures. Only three really tricky ones in their first 14 games (away at Liverpool, home to Spurs and away to Chelsea). I'd be surprised if they drop more than 9 or 10 points in that lot.

The difference between Hulls pitch and Stokes is massive.

    8,436 Sqm v 6,400 Sqm

WHL was small enough right? Narrow too,, but not as narrow as Highbury

Just checked there, the diff between Wembley and WHL

There are some really poor quality teams in the league this year.

Assuming that Hull's pitch is the bigger one, I'd have thought Stoke's small pitch was a throwback to the er, "aerial" style of football they favoured under Pulis, and those long throw ins of Delap.

We are fúcked. Absolutely fúcked. Can't defend. Can't string passes together. Can't score.

Ashley won't do a single bloody thing about it. Would not be surprised if Rafa left before West Ham next Saturday.

Seriously? I can't see that happening. But you did seem dreadfully short of ideas upfront. But it's early days, there's no need to panic. You've got WHU next saturday; win that (which you should), and you go into the international break in a positive frame of mind.

He can't. Well, he can, but then he's hoping a club will buy out his contract if he wants to work again and who in their right mind is going to do so in the UK which is where he wants to be, with his family.

I cannot believe he signed that sort of deal. Ashley has done him like a kipper with that contract.

I do wonder why Sky switched from that Sky Cam they have just at the moment the free kick was going to be taken.
