Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    How do you see this?

Brand new pitch with new drainage technology. There is no issue.

    Lol... No

Edit: there's been very few match treads for any games this year.

Hard to see anything but a Liverpool win in this. Would be great to see Everton get something but don't think that Sam's had enough time with them. Not going to bother watching, the Manchester derby will be the one to watch.

With my eyes murpho. The ball isn't travelling smoothly like it usually would.

What's Mane at there, easy 2 yard pass man!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,179 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

That was both greedy and a terrible finish by Mane. Should have passed, it was a simple tap in for 2 other players. Salah and I can't remember the other, it might have been Robertson.

    What a player Salah is.

Think he’s a bit miffed by Salah stealing his thunder. It seems to have negatively affected him.

Salah is having a season like Ronaldo had in his first big season, when he just kept scoring and people kinda expected it to stop but he just didn’t.

Absolutely ridiculous fro, Lovren. Contact was minimal, but why give the player a chance to go down?

Never a peno but Lovren was daft.

That's a joke, right? They've done literally nothing all game. Handed a penalty that never was. They deserve nothing. Liverpool should have been out of sight, wasted chances and I don't know what Klopp was doing with the team selection.

Dont agree that it was never a pen either. Lovren absolutely makes contact. Wouldnt argue if it was called either way.

He just just got close. Everton player clearly throws himself to the ground. I can see why the ref gave it but he conned the ref.

Tbh the view from the back shows the refs view and you can clearly see Lovern putting is hands onto his back and looks like he pushes him. He gave the ref an opportunity to make the decision when he didn’t need too

Sam signed up to the Jose how to play at Anfield blueprint. Although Everton did manage 1 more shot on target than they did.

Penalty all day long, a point will do. Thanks Dejan!

Delighted for Rooney too, he'll be loving scoring for Everton at the pit!

I don't agree. They totally dominated the game and only for a soft soft pen they win easy.

    Everton
Lovren made it easy for the referee, wanting to argue with the referee was not going to change anything.
He should be looking at himself and how he made it easy for the referee. The referee did the right thing going on how it looked initially. One could argue if there was video refereeing it wouldn't be a penalty, but the referee could only deal with what he saw, and that was a penalty.

Just watched the pen. It was a ridiculous defensive decision and I can see why the referee gave it. Lovern should have stayed well clear of him, he was going away from goal. Why didn't Klopp play Countinho today? You have two gimmes coming up, so he could have rested him then.

Just because you make it easy for the ref doesn't mean he should give it. The best refs should not fall for it.

If he gives him space we give him hell for not getting close.

He was going nowhere near the goal. No issue with giving the attacker space in that situation. He was never, ever going to score during that phase of play.

Fierce similarities in the derbies today.
Pool totally dominant, but undone by a mistake by a centre back.
City totally dominant but undone by a mistake by a centre back.

At least city have another 45 to try and prove their dominance on the scoresheet, where it matters and they are away from home.

Is it the first time Man City won the league at Old Trafford?

But every time they lose or draw a game between now and the end of the season Sky will be telling us the title race is back on...

    City deserved their win.
They played much better, had most of the ball, looked to be in charge for most of the game and had a goalkeeper who made a great double save near the end.
