Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Nothing Spurs don't deserve

Chelsea parked the bus ridiculously early

Awful keeping but he's always prone to that

    Oh dear Lloris

Oh Lloris, his world class status dwindles even more.

Wanyama caused that goal. Messing around when we should have been on the counter attack. Lloris was also awful for it.

    Can't believe we'll lose this.

    Abysmal keeping from Lloris.

    Massive result for both sides.

It's got nothing to do with Wembley. We were all over Chelsea today, and they were bloody lucky to get a win. A fantastic free, and Wanyama/Lloris **** up cost us. They had a good 20 minutes at the start, and then on the back foot for the entire game.

Spurs have only themselves to blame though, as they weren't able to do anything with the constant pressure.

You were lucky the ref was so lenient.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

MMMM No I don't think so, has hit the post twice already, just getting his eye in. He has never scored a premiere League goal in August and he hasn't done too bad for a one season wonder.

    This, massively.

Spurs, if theres any consistency in the standard applied by the refs would have had 2 players sent off today but Taylor bottled two clear reds.

Not overly bothered though even if it is a concern but we got the win in the end.

Kane always seem to be a slow starter and finishes the season very strong.

    From Opta

5 - Tottenham's all-time top scorer in games at Wembley is own goals, with Michy Batshuayi's being the fifth netted in favour of them.

2 games in. I think he has looked reasonably sharp and has been extremely unlucky to not get off the mark yet.

Jesus made a great run there, should've been found.

Probably the most sense you've ever made when analysing a game.

    Liverpool
Absolute shocker from Aguero there. Cracking move by Jesus and De Bruyne, Aguero neither shoots nor passes.

    Dat David Silva haircut tho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,495 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

I'd be pulling my hair out after Aguero missed that. I guess Pep doesn't have that luxury.

    Sane somehow hits the post.

    Rooney!

    Great goalkeeping.

Silva with the shaven head and bit of chin fluff is starting to look like Stephen Ireland from 4/5 years ago.

Can't be blaming the keeper too much there I think. He did well to almost get the leg closed considering how quickly Rooney took it.

It's always interesting watching Rooney's movement as a piece of play develops. Nice finish too.

Some start to his Everton career. 2 games, 2 goals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

Aguero needs to bury that chance beforehand

Everton have looked good, Rooney still a top class finisher

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,791 ✭✭✭✭JPA

    Really good game.

Edit: Maybe spoilt with a red for Walker. Not a yellow at all.

    Walk of the pitch Walker.

    Brainless.

They'll probably get ripped apart and lose 4-1 after me saying this, but Everton look like a tidy team.

    Rooney sleeper agent :)

Never a yellow. As bad a decision as Robson Kanu's red at the weekend

Luck with referees no better this season for City either. Very cheap.

Takes a quick look at Lewis. Deliberately takes him out of the game. Alright, Everton lad went down fairly easily but it's still a stupid thing to do.

If that's a yellow card, well be seeing one for every player shielding the ball out of play with their arms out.
