We are looking to purchase a house that is in a non-gas estate. Gas Networks said that once 20% of the estate registers an interest, they will assess the project and quote for costs, which the homeowners will have to pay.

There will be a standard cost for all new connections which is detailed on the GNI site. However there will also be a supplemental charge to cover the mains extension. The gas would have to be brought in from the main road which is approximately 100m away. Has anybody else done this and if so what were your costs? Thanks.
