Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Dortmund very poor this CL season. Seems they are simply too light on experience on all fronts this time around plus its a tough group. Spurs played very well last night and are on a different level to Dortmund at the moment, can't see anything but them going through together with Real and deservedly so.

Not sure where Bayern are at. They still have so much quality, but seem kind of in nomansland after Pep's strategy overhaul followed by Carlos short lived spell of not sure what - pragmatism? Not sure Heynckes can turn that into something in such short time. They will still go relatively deep, but can't see them doing any real damage this year. If they do Heynckes would be an absolute magician.

Leipzig are probably a good bet for a team with potential soaking up experience. They would probably be better suited for the Europa League.

German teams won't play much of a role this year.

Bayern look different, much more direct, no pedestrian stuff, no faffing around. If a good cross or shot is on they take it, no trying to walk it in. And I know Celtic are not PSG, but still, good signs.

0-1 to Man United. Poor fare to be honest.

I feel sorry for the Benfica goalkeeper, young and all as he is but that was appalling. United have been dreadful but keep getting lucky. Handed a goal, quite literally.

    Some comeback from Roma

Dzeko again! with a Kolarov assist I think.

Dortmund and Monaco certainly looking in trouble, napoli too if they lose against city again and shaktar beating feyenoord again (both very realistic results). Perhaps atleti too?

Atleti particularly poor as well. Dropping two points to Qarabağ could prove very costly with Roma and Chelsea looking good.

After recent years failures it's incredible we're past the third gameweek and an English side is yet to lose. Given the money spent and managerial prowess it probably should be that way but wasn't expecting the improvement to be this dramatic I must admit.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17,388 ✭✭✭✭Jayop

Bar Spurs the English teams have all easy groups though. Wouldn't be expecting anything less tbh.

The Roma vs Chelsea game could be good if it's anything like the one in Stamford Bridge.

Napoli are pretty good, but you'd expect City to be able to deal with them. Likewise Chelsea, a pretty good second tier team but nothing the champions of England should be worried about. Looking at all the groups at the outset, the only team you'd have thought might be in any trouble of not getting through was Spurs.

I'd have Napoli and City at around the same level
