Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Genuinely bothers me a lot. I mean one of the standout players for Italy's best team by a good margin so far this season.

That was a lovely goal from Insigne

Sometimes when you really need a goal you have to keep 3 centre backs on.

Two free players at the back there with no defenders looking across to cover. Liverpool are a shambles

Fouled him so definite peno. Harsh of the referee to force the retake considering the majority of the encrouching players were Liverpool players

Monaco are out of Europe now. They were well beaten by Leipzig and rarely troubled the Germans in the second half. Jemerson had the worst game I've seen him play. To make matters worse they play PSG on Sunday.

Have to hand it to Liverpool, goals, goals, goals and can't defend for their lives. :D

Chelsea 1-0 after Qarabag made a blistering start.

Penalty and red card for Qarabag will probably kill the game.

Barcelona so chancey in pressing the ball.

Higuain is undermining Juves efforts to exploit them.

Listening to the RTlads here, you'd wonder if Barcelona are being relegated and are out of the CL.

Not top of their league and qualified from the group...

That's an improvement from the forecast given when they lost Neymar.

Have Celtic actually won a game against a team not based in Scotland over the last few seasons?

These days everyone is sh*t until proven otherwise!
North London derby had most experts just change the name on who to blast.
I barely watch analysis now as most of it they have a agenda before the cameras roll & complain if they are wrong.
Tonight was one of those nights where I was thinking the knockout stages couldn't come fast enough.

Tbf the last 2 seasons they drew City & Barca and then PSG & Bayern in the group stages.
Who wins away in those grounds regularly in Europe?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I fell asleep tonight and missed most of the action. I'm wondering did Celtic join me.

Was PSG's result a case of them being excellent, Celtic being awful, or a bit of both?

Google it there, if you're really interested. It's not hard.

Man Utd need to avoid defeat by 4-1 to go through
Basel need to avoid defeat and hope Man Utd to win to go through
Spartak will go through if they match the Basel result

Is that not the other way around, CTID? Basel are currently ahead on the head-to-heads with CSKA, winning 2-0 away, losing 2-1 at home. So, if they both draw, Basel are through. If they both win, by say a goal, the three-way table would be:

    Team|P|W|D|L|GF|GA|GD|Pts
    Manchester|4|2|0|2|7|3|+4|6
    Basel|4|2|0|2|4|5|-1|6
    CSKA|4|2|0|2|4|7|-3|6

For CSKA to go through, they need to either better Basel's result or if both win, win by two more goals than Basel. Both go through in the very unlikely event that Basel win by 2 or more and CKSA win by 4 or more. Love the permutations of the three-way head-to-heads, even if it's unlikely to even come down to it!
