Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Very sloppy from Juventus. Easy goal for Kane.

    Nice finish that one,

Great game so far. Both should have had more goals.

In towards Keane Kane...Harry Kane with a captain's goal for Manchester United Tottenham Hotspur...game on!

(Not sure if he's the captain tonight but you get the point)

Very good goal and holding nerve by Kane

Kane is capable of doing it at any level. He's immense - timed his run perfectly and timed the shot perfectly as well

Who's that on co - commentator?

Is it kilbane? He is the master of the cliché. Sounds like Owen Hargreaves type of analysis

No need for Bufon to come out though. Needed to make him score, not make it easy.

If they bring on Jon Moss for the 2nd half they could nick something.

Spurs are 9/1 here to win. Well on top but would they settle for a draw if it went 2-2

Juve looking happy to lump it out of defence, like watching Ireland now.

If spurs get another they'll win this.

As much as I hate them, Spurs are such an intense team. You’d have to wonder if they’ll hit a wall soon this season. Their work rate is incredible.

3-2 spurs was 33/1 before they scored.

2-1 is a great result, but they look more than capable of getting a draw tonight. If they equalise soon they may go for it. Last 15 mins and they may close up shop

Italian tanks have 5 reverse gears.

    What WAS I saying?!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Looked like a clear foul before the goal there. Juve hard done by.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

    WHAT ARE SPURS DOING?!

    Peno given.

Going to ground when the ball is well out of reach. So silly

    Spurs defenders are killing them!

Cowardly penalty ! Where is Balotelli when you need him.
Felt the pressure so went down the middle, lame .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,050 ✭✭✭✭NIMAN

    Great entertainment.

    Thouroughly enjoyed that half.

Plenty more to come by the looks of it.

Though Higuain missed, at least Juventus penalties are deserved, unlikely Divers R' Us.

Huge for Spurs, never fancied Higuain there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

The only comfort for Higuain is he'll probably get another peno in the second half.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,752 ✭✭✭johnpatrick81

It’s not often you can say a fella who scored 2 goals by half time had a howler!

Should have scored 4 and gave away the ball for Spurs’ goal.

    Crazy match!

    Gotta love football. Fantastic half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Higuian, you can never bank on him can ya?

The first peno should have been saved too.

    Cracker so far anyway.

Pochettino needs to kick the **** out of his team for their defending. Playing great and their defenders are doing everything they can to balls it up.

Every time I watch Aurier he dives in either dangerously or stupidly. He is a liability in a big game like this.

Higuin smashing it down the middle like it's the biggest penalty of his life.

Still people are saying those penalties are dives? (I'm assuming this is in reference to Liverpool vs Spurs)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    Did BT mention Kanes dive?

Nope, they didn't mention Higuain's chance on the counter-attack where he nearly scored either. They made sure to mention Spurs' possession stats though.

Great game so far, Spurs have been really impressive after their Celtic style start

BTW, that first Juve goal was offside, nice turn and volley though

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,855 ✭✭✭irishguitarlad

Jaysus the BT lads are had to listen to.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,300 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

That is a benefit to Spurs for the 2nd leg, Aurier is a bombscare

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,636 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

Ref doing spurs a favour taking Aurier out for the second leg, that lad's a header.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,584 ✭✭✭Rekop dog

Higuin smashing it down the middle like it's the biggest penalty of his life.

High and central is the statistically most successful area to hit a pen so the idea was right just a tad off with his execution.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,081 ✭✭✭Fromvert

The commentator on TSN is some fool. Banging on about a Bale inspired comeback against Inter in 2010 in the first half and brought it up again. Think someone eventually got in his ear to tell him they lost that game 4-3.
